Fever’s Balanced Attack Overwhelms Aces in Home Win
The Fever shot 49.2% from the field (31‑of‑63), outrebounded Las Vegas 37-26, and forced 17 turnovers. Indiana’s suffocating defense held the Aces to a below-par 26.2% shooting, including just 3‑of‑16 from three-point range.
After building a 22‑point halftime advantage behind a 25-10 second‑quarter run, Indiana cruised to its 9th win of the season.
Kelsey Mitchell led with 25 points and dished out six assists. Aliyah Boston recorded 20 points and seven boards, while Natasha Howard provided 11 points on 4‑of‑8 shooting. But it was Aari McDonald’s +26 plus/minus that strengthened Fever’s assault. She ended the night with eight points, seven boards, and seven assists.
Las Vegas’ veteran center A’ja Wilson scored a game-high 29 points with 9‑of‑18 shooting and three boards. But the rest of her team struggled to score beyond four to six points.
The attending 16,509 crowd knew that the Aces were no match for the Fever tonight, as Indiana sealed an 81-54 home victory. Indiana Fever will enjoy a brief home respite before facing the Los Angeles Sparks on July 5. They will host opponents at Gainbridge till July 13, with a matchup against Paige Bueckers’ Dallas Wings.
