Caitlin Clark’s year has not gone anything like the superstar had imagined. Finishing her first season with the Rookie of the Year and the biggest contract offer in women’s basketball, the Indiana Fever guard was set to take over the league before injuries plagued her season.
However, Clark has remained active off the court. With her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, continuing his coaching role with the Butler Bulldogs, the Fever star made an appearance at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on Tuesday night to support him and his team in their matchup against the Creighton Bluejays.

McCaffery, who has been dating Clark since 2023, is an assistant coach for Butler. The team entered the matchup with a 10-3 record, but once again fell to the Bluejays 89-85, marking their eighth loss in nine games to Creighton.
Clark was there to support her boyfriend and pulled up for the game in a long coat. She was spotted sitting in a suite at CHI Health Center in Omaha, cheering on the Bulldogs.

McCaffery, a former guard of the Iowa Hawkeyes for six seasons, decided to follow in his father’s footsteps after his playing career. He lent his basketball expertise to Butler, accepting an assistant coaching job.
He previously spent time as a team assistant for the Indiana Pacers in 2023, where he assisted with the scout team and worked closely with the film study team, before accepting the position with Butler.
McCaffrey and Clark met during their time together at the University of Iowa and started dating in April 2023. While they initially kept the relationship under wraps, they have been described as supportive of each other’s personal and professional lives.
Clark, meanwhile, is enjoying her second WNBA offseason after her sophomore season was cut short by a groin injury. She appeared in just 13 games in 2025 before the injury sidelined her for the remainder of the season.
Despite her absence, the Fever managed to reach the playoffs and secure their first postseason win in 10 years. Looking ahead to 2026, Clark remains optimistic and ambitious. In a social media post reflecting on the past year, she wrote: “2025 you were a year… 2026 I welcome you with open arms let’s get it 🤍💫✨⭐️🫶🏻🤩”
Between supporting her boyfriend on the sidelines and preparing for her own comeback, Clark is showing that 2026 will be a year of focus both on and off the court.
