Caitlin Clark Hilariously Persuades Fever Teammate Lexie Hull To Take a Drink While Competing in WNBA 3-Point Contest

Caitlin Clark is having the most fun at the All-Star weekend as she persuades teammate Lexi Hull to have a drink on the sidelines of the 3-point contest.

Caitlin Clark may not be playing in the All-Star game or competing in the 3-point contest, but she’s still making headlines while sitting on the sidelines. The Indiana Fever star showed up to support her teammate, Lexie Hull, in the three-point contest and turned the evening into her own celebration.

What Did Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull Do During the Three-Point Contest?

Clark is sidelined from All-Star events due to a groin injury that has forced her to miss several games this month, but she’s not letting it stop her from having a good time. The 23-year-old was spotted drinking on Thursday night at the All-Star Party, and her celebration continued on the sidelines of Friday’s three-point contest.

As Clark cheered for Hull from the bench alongside her Indiana Fever teammates, she was spotted with a drink in hand. When Hull arrived at the bench for a break after drilling threes, Clark persuaded her to have a sip from her glass.

Hull appeared hesitant at first, but eventually gave in to Clark’s encouragement. She took just one sip before handing the glass back to the All-Star guard.

How Did Fans React to Clark’s Sideline Antics?

While some fans expressed concern about Clark drinking too much, most enjoyed watching the moment unfold. The social media reaction was overwhelmingly positive.

“Best video of the night,” one fan wrote.

“Love them even more now,” a second fan wrote.

“Fever girls smiling, laughing, and having fun, love it,” wrote a third.

The All-Star weekend is designed for having fun, and Clark certainly embraced that spirit. The Iowa Hawkeyes legend remains grateful for all the support she receives and believes her hard work is paying off as she continues to inspire the next generation of women’s basketball players.

“It’s something that never gets old, truly. To see young girls and even young boys wear your jersey, or want a picture, or want an autograph, that’s the reason you do it,” Clark told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. “You were just that young girl, honestly, a short time ago. For myself, it just puts perspective on everything.”

“Every time I walk out in the arena and people are screaming and cheering, they could care less how many points I score or how many minutes I play. Just puts great perspective on life and also just basketball, so I’m really thankful for that,” she added.

Despite her injury, Clark will still participate in the All-Star Game as a coach rather than a player. Fans have already dubbed her the team captain, and Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes will take her spot on the roster. Along with sharing tips with her team, the WNBA Rookie of the Year is ready to “chirp at the other team.”

Meanwhile, the three-point contest itself saw Sabrina Ionescu claim victory for the second time in her career. In a heartwarming gesture, she decided to split the $60,000 winning prize with fellow contestant and Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron. Natasha Cloud won the Skills Challenge.
