Caitlin Clark has been taking the WNBA by storm since being selected No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever back in 2024.
Now in her third year in the league, she is continuing to garner attention. She recently announced the launch of her first signature shoe with Nike, the Caitlin 1. Now, there are rumors that she is planning to drop a special holiday-themed colorway to take a page out of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant’s book.
Caitlin Clark Rumored To Drop a Christmas-Themed Colorway of the Caitlin 1s
According to JustFreshKicks on X, the 24-year-old point guard is planning to release a holiday colorway of her Caitlin 1 sneakers during the 2026 holiday season.

Will it be a Grinch colorway like the post suggests? Bryant released a similar colorway, the Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch,” in December 2010, and it became one of his most iconic and recognizable shoes.
Clark is a huge fan of Bryant’s, and she has even worn his Grinch colorways in a WNBA game. Before getting her own signature shoe with Nike, Clark played exclusively in Nike Kobes, calling them the best shoes in the world.
Clark has paid tribute to her idols with her shoes before, as she recently wore an “Eras Tour” PE of the Nike Kobe 6s to show love to Taylor Swift before she switched to wearing her signature shoe.
Clark has a massive fanbase, so sales of her shoes are expected to be massive. Across 15 games this season with the Fever, she’s averaging 21.1 points, 8.1 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 42.3% from the floor. For reference, during her rookie season in 2024, she finished with averages of 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.7% from the floor.
During the Fever’s latest matchup on June 20, Indiana lost to the Atlanta Dream 113-96. They are now riding a two-game losing skid into tonight’s clash with the Phoenix Mercury at 8 p.m. ET. The 9-7 Fever sit at third place in the Eastern Conference, behind only the Dream (11-4) and New York Liberty (11-6), and at seventh in the league.
Inconsistency on the court has plagued Indiana. Between several blown leads and the ongoing scrutiny faced by head coach Stephanie White, the Fever has dealth with plenty of drama throughout the up-and-down start to their season.
Nonetheless, with Clark in the lineup, the franchise continues to turn heads. And if she does end up dropping a Grinch-themed shoe, there will be even more attention coming her way.
