‘I Didn’t Sleep’ — Angel Reese Reveals Devastated Reaction to Missed Game-Winning Layup vs. Caitlin Clark’s Fever

Angel Reese admits she couldn't sleep at night after missing the potential game-winner against the Fever.

Angel Reese had quite the bounce-back game last night against the Las Vegas Aces. She dropped 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Atlanta Dream to a decisive 97-82 win.

This game came after she had quite the dud in her previous game vs the Indiana Fever. Reese addressed this game in her post-game presser last night.

Angel Reese Speaks on Her Subpar Performance Vs the Fever Keeping Her Up at Night

While Reese had 15 points and 14 rebounds against the Fever, she did so on 5-16 shooting from the field. Along with her poor efficiency, she also made a series of offensive blunders that led to the Dream losing the game.

After last night’s game against the Aces, Reese admitted that these missteps of hers from the Fever game affected her deeply.

“It was very tough for me. I didn’t sleep… I replayed that so many times. And I’m like, why would I let that moment dictate everything else that I have going on that’s positive?”

In the game vs Indy, she missed a wide-open layup in transition, bricked a three to the left side of the backboard, and the miss that haunted Reese for nights on end was her potential game-winner.

She caught the ball underneath the basket with less than four seconds left in regulation and the game tied at 81-81. As she went up for the shot, she missed.

Naz Hillmon got the rebound and missed as well. The game went into OT, and the Fever won 95-91.

Fast-forward to the present day, and she led the way in beating the star-studded Aces. Along with her offensive production coming back to form, she was also incredibly proficient on the defensive end of the floor.

After last night’s game and her grabbing 10 boards, she inched closer to A’ja’s regular season record of ‘most rebounds in a single season’. A’ja’s record is at 451, and Reese has nine more games as she’s currently at 408.

With this win over the Aces, the Dream are just seven wins back of the first seed, currently held by the Minnesota Lynx.

If Reese can continue this offensive and defensive momentum into the postseason, Atlanta has a fair shot at making a deep Playoff run.
