Angel Reese Ignores Caitlin Clark in Best WNBA Player Talk in Fiery Response to Fan’s ‘Bullying’ Accusation

Angel Reese named A'ja Wilson as the best player in the WNBA recently in a fiery response to a fan's accusation.

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark shot to household fame last season as the rivals jostled for the top position. Their rivalry also gained the WNBA a ton of engagement and fans.

Before the duo embarks on their second WNBA season, the Chicago Sky power forward has again set her eyes on Clark.

Angel Reese Doesn’t Mention Caitlin Clark in the Best WNBA Player Conversation

Clark reigned supreme in the minds of the WNBA fans last year despite the Indiana Fever crashing out in the first round of the playoffs. On the other hand, Reese made her name as a challenging and athletic forward apart from her rivalry with the Fever point guard.

Reese has recently been involved in kicking up the dust. She has threatened to boycott this season unless the players get better pay, and she has also faced criticism for her stance. Such was the case, as the 22-year-old uploaded on TikTok.

One fan took this opportunity to call out the Bayou Barbie. “Demanding more money after bullying the wnba best player out of the league is craaaazy,” wrote the fan.

However, Reese did not fall for it and didn’t even mention Clark, citing Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson as the best player. “When did i try to bully aja?” she responded.

Wilson has thrived in the WNBA for seven seasons. The six-time WNBA All-Star has two championships under her belt as well. Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, on the other hand, has managed to capture the imagination of fans and is regarded as one of the best to step on the court.

Reese Doubles Down on the Pay Narrative

As Reese came out in the open to suggest a higher pay or she’ll sit out, the forward was targeted by several fans. She took to X to not only double down on her stance but fact-check narratives regarding her demands as well.

“I love how y’all have selective hearing. I said ‘I’m hearing if they don’t give us what we want, we sitting out,’ and that’s the truth. I never said anything about the NBA. We are prepared to stay at the negotiating table for as long as it takes… I will continue to use my voice to speak for what WE want & deserve as a league. Thank ya,” she wrote.

Last year, the WNBA player union opted out of their current collective bargaining agreement (CBA). This agreement was set in place for up to 2027 but will now remain in place till 2025.
