Caitlin Clark is making the WNBA record book move at a dizzying pace. The Indiana Fever superstar erupted for a 34-point, 12-assist double-double Friday, leading Indiana to a 111-91 win over the Connecticut Sun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Her latest scoring burst made more WNBA history and sent fans into a frenzy.

The Sun came out firing, jumping ahead 28-19 after the opening quarter and putting the Fever on the back foot early. Clark, however, eventually flipped the game with another relentless scoring display, shooting 12-of-19 from the field and 6-of-12 from 3-point range.
Clark became increasingly dangerous as the night went on, saving her biggest scoring burst for the fourth quarter. She poured in 13 points in the final period while continuing to create shots for her teammates.
The performance also extended Clark’s remarkable run. The WNBA noted that she is now the first player in league history to record consecutive games with at least 30 points and 10 assists. She had 37 points and 10 assists against the Chicago Sky on Aug. 23 before following it with a 34-point outburst against the Sun.
That back-to-back production from Clark had the WNBA world buzzing, with fans and prominent voices pouring out rave reactions for the Fever superstar.

“She’s starting to put up Iowa numbers,” another X user noted, pointing back to Clark’s prolific college career at Iowa.
One fan took the comparison even higher, putting Clark in the same league as MJ, writing:

Clark was not carrying the offensive burden alone, though.
Kelsey Mitchell also delivered a performance that kept Indiana’s backcourt attack humming, matching Clark with 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting.
The scoring partnership also produced another piece of history. Clark and Mitchell have now combined for four 30-point games in the same season. Mitchell also continued her remarkable scoring streak, recording her 24th straight game with at least 20 points.
The Fever now head into a three-week break for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup on a high note, having won seven of their last 9 games.
Clark, Aliyah Boston, and head coach Stephanie White will also be heading to Berlin for the tournament before Indiana returns to WNBA action on Sept. 18 against the Toronto Tempo.
