South Carolina faces Tennessee on Sunday at Colonial Life Arena, roughly four hours before kickoff. Johnson, the Gamecocks’ starting point guard, is expected to suit up. The bigger question is whether Emmanwori himself will be on the field. On Feb. 5, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the rookie suffered an ankle injury during Seahawks practice, immediately putting his status in doubt.

According to the pool report from ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler, several players and coaches went over to comfort the finalist for AP Defensive Rookie of the Year before he walked off the field on his own power.”
Video later surfaced showing Emmanwori limping toward the team hotel, fueling concern. The Seahawks’ defense is deep, but losing a chess-piece defender days before the Super Bowl isn’t ideal. Emmanwori’s ability to cover, crash the run, and shift pre-snap makes him a problem for quarterbacks and a priority for Seattle’s medical staff. As of now, his availability remains questionable.
What Makes Raven Johnson Different on the Biggest Stages?
Johnson’s journey didn’t start with viral moments or nicknames. It started with discipline. Introduced to basketball at age five by her grandfather, retired U.S. military officer Rodrick Boone, Johnson trained alongside her twin brother Richard under what she calls ‘tough love.’ Boone dubbed them ‘Killer Thriller,’ a nod to their two-way instincts.
