The second NFL Christmas game of the 2025 season will feature an NFC North showdown between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. The matchup will stream live on Netflix as the final leg of the platform’s holiday double-header for this year.
Here’s everything you need to know about the broadcast team that will cover the game for the streaming giant.
Who Are the Lions-Vikings Announcers?
Netflix will stream a doubleheader for the 2025 NFL Christmas Games. The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders will kick things off in this new annual holiday tradition, and the matchup between the Lions and Vikings will immediately follow them.
The second game will have playoff implications for the Lions, who are trying to chase down one of the final postseason spots. The Vikings would like nothing more than to spoil their bid, as they have been having a disappointing season otherwise. They have already been eliminated from playoff contention, having made it there last year, signaling obvious regression as a whole.
This NFC North clash on Netflix will be streaming live with an intriguing broadcast team for the NFL Christmas Game. Noah Eagle will handle the play-by-play duties, and he will be joined by legendary quarterback Drew Brees serving as his analyst for all of the action.
They also get the luxury of having two sideline reporters, Dianna Russini and AJ Ross, while Gene Steratore will be available as their rules analyst.
The desk is also filled with notable names, including for pregame, postgame, and halftime coverage. Jamie Erdahl will serve as the host with a pair of former NFL players, Brandon Marshall and Manti Te’o, sitting in as the analysts.

They will break down all the action as the Lions try to get back into the playoff mix, as they are currently on the outside looking in.
Detroit has dropped each of its past two games and is now in danger of missing out on the postseason altogether. They trail the Green Bay Packers by 1.5 games with just two weeks remaining for the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. This means that a loss to the Vikings would officially eliminate them from the playoff race.
Minnesota will be looking to play the spoiler in this NFL Christmas Game, as they have already been eliminated from contention.
They will have to do so without J.J. McCarthy, who has been ruled out with an injury. He ranks just 40th among all quarterbacks in PFSN’s Impact Rankings this year, so he has severely struggled when on the field anyway.
