Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially tied the knot on Friday at Madison Square Garden, capping a whirlwind engagement with one of the most star-studded weddings in recent memory. The venue’s exterior billboards lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED” shortly after 8 p.m. ET, confirming the ceremony before roughly 1,000 guests.
The celebration was hard to miss, and the official White House account on X shared an edited version of the MSG billboard photo, replacing the wedding message with “TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT” in the same pink display style. The post, captioned “IT’S HAPPENED!!!,” racked up 6.4 million views at the time of writing.
Donald Trump-Taylor Swift Rivalry Resurfaces After Popstar’s Glamorous Wedding
Trump and Swift have been locked in a public feud for years, one that escalated during the 2024 presidential campaign. After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris following the September 2024 debate, Trump responded on Truth Social with a blunt message saying, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
He revisited the topic months later, posting, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”
Swift, for her part, has endorsed Democratic candidates in the 2018, 2020, and 2024 elections and publicly criticized Trump during the 2020 protests following George Floyd’s death.

Given that history, the White House’s post was predictable. Trump supporters viewed the edited billboard as a jab to hijack arguably the biggest wedding of the decade. Swifties and critics called it petty for borrowing the singer’s branding after years of attacking her.

The broader consensus, though, treated the exchange as more playful trolling than a genuine feud, particularly compared to some of Trump’s bigger conflicts in recent years.
As for Kelce, the focus now shifts squarely to football. The 36-year-old tight end re-signed with the Chiefs in March after flirting with retirement throughout the last season.

His contract is structured to allow a smooth exit after 2026, making this potentially his final NFL campaign. Patrick Mahomes, meanwhile, continues rehabbing the torn ACL and LCL he suffered in a Week 15 loss to the Chargers last December, and is targeting a Week 1 return against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
According to PFN’s Offense Impact Metric, the Chiefs’ offense posted an impact score of 76.7 last season, ranking 13th in the league. To improve, Kansas City brought back Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator to replace Matt Nagy.
The Chiefs signed reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III in free agency and acquired Justin Fields from the New York Jets to serve as Mahomes’ backup. They invested heavily in defense in the draft and are ready to contend for the Super Bowl again.
Before the training camp opens later this month, the newlyweds will get a brief window together before the grind of the NFL season separates them, as Chiefs players prepare for what promises to be another intense training camp under Andy Reid.
