The Dallas Cowboys close out Week 9 on Monday in a highly anticipated Monday Night Football matchup against the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium, with both teams needing to bounce back in the regular season to still be in contention for a Wild Card spot in a critical MNF showdown.
Despite having one of the best offenses in the league, the Cowboys (3-4-1) continue to have a very inconsistent season due to their poor defense, with their 44-24 loss to the Denver Broncos exposing many of these defensive problems.
With the NFC West in last place, the Cardinals (2-5) will return to the field for the first time since October 19, when they faced the Green Bay Packers and were defeated 27-23. Close losses have been a constant throughout the season.

ESPN Remains Off the Air and YouTube TV Will Not Broadcast MNF
Although the clash between the Cowboys and Cardinals is one of the most decisive games in Week 9 of the NFL, millions of people will miss Monday Night Football this Monday due to the shutdown of ESPN channels on YouTube TV.
There was an expectation that Google would reach an agreement on Monday regarding the contract renewal for the transmission of Disney Channel signals (including ESPN and ABC) because of MNF. Still, as the hours passed, it became clear that a last-minute agreement was becoming increasingly unlikely.

The signals were shut down last Thursday night when the two groups failed to reach a new agreement. YouTube TV subscribers were unable to watch some College Football games broadcast by Disney channels over the weekend and will also miss a crucial NFL game later today.
“Unfortunately, Google’s YouTube TV has chosen to deny their subscribers the content they value most by refusing to pay fair rates for our channels, including ESPN and ABC,” Disney said in a statement.
Alternatives for watching MNF amid ESPN-YouTube TV dispute
Fortunately, there are other alternatives for NFL fans to watch MNF tonight. Fubo (which carries all ABC affiliates and all ESPN channels) has announced a seven-day free trial for new subscribers, including coverage of the Cowboys-Cardinals game.
DirecTV is also a viable alternative for watching tonight’s game, with all ABC and ESPN channels included and a free trial for new subscribers.
Another viable alternative is the ESPN App, which, since September, has allowed consumers to pay directly for the content offered by Disney’s sports channels. Finally, as mentioned earlier, the NFL App broadcasts the game through the NFL+ service.
Where Are the Two Teams Standing Heading Into Week 9?
The Cowboys are trying to start their comeback in the NFL season after a terrible defensive performance against the Broncos. For this reason, the fans’ hopes remain focused on Dak Prescott, who currently ranks seventh among quarterbacks in the league based on the PFSN QB Impact metric with an impact score of 86.8.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals are currently on a five-game losing streak. Kyler Murray (foot injury) is inactive tonight, and veteran Jacoby Brissett is expected to start from the beginning to the end of the game.
