Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins has worked hard this season to prove that he’s worthy of being a part of the offense behind quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
But Judkins’ day on Sunday came to a sudden halt after he suffered an injury against the Buffalo Bills.
What Happened To Browns RB Quinshon Judkins?
Judkins was tackled hard on a play and immediately stayed down on the field. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that Judkins is out with what the Browns said was “a leg injury.” Replays, though, showed that Judkins might have suffered a significant injury.
According to Browns reporter Daniel Oyefusi, Judkins was being carted off the field after suffering a bad leg injury.
The cart is coming out. Not good. Nasty leg injury. https://t.co/klWB3x4gWE

Later on, Oyefusi reported that Trayveon Williams started the second half at running back. He added that the only other running back active for the Browns is Raheim Sanders.
Judkins had been seeing his best usage of the season before getting hurt. He was finally seeing some deliberate usage as a receiver, turning him into a complete back.
With Judkins very clearly not coming back, the Browns will turn to Sanders as fellow rookie Dylan Sampson was ruled out of Sunday’s game with a hand injury on Friday.

With just one week left in the fantasy season, it stands to reason we won’t see Judkins again. That makes Sampson a priority add for those of you who advance to the final week.
The Bills had opened up a 23-17 lead over the Browns in the fourth quarter. Josh Allen was also banged up a bit in the first half, but he was back in the game and leading the Buffalo offense.
Before leaving the game, Judkins had eight carries for 20 yards with his longest run being a five-yarder. Judkins was drafted by the Browns out of Ohio State.
The Browns have had quite a season. It’s been another losing season for the Browns, who entered Sunday’s game against Buffalo with a 3-11 record. Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was drafted late in the 2025 NFL Draft, is trying his best to keep the team moving in a positive direction.
Judkins has been doing his best to accomplish the same goal under Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. Cleveland started this season with Joe Flacco as its starting quarterback, but the veteran was traded during the season to the Cincinnati Bengals. Then, Dillon Gabriel came on but he was firstly forced to sit out due to a concussion, then lost the QB1 job to Sanders.
For Cleveland, it hopes that the kids are alright as the Browns look to the future.
