25. New York Jets (5-8, Last Week: 28)
Week 14 Result: Defeated Miami, 22-21
For the Jets, it was a weird week. They won, but it took an overturned pass interference call that was initially a no-call to win. Sam Darnold was not sharp at all, but at least they avoided dropping to the last place in the division, so that’s a positive, right?
26. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-9, Last Week: 25)
Week 14 Result: Lost to Los Angeles Chargers, 45-10
Not even the mustache is saving the Jaguars now. Jacksonville is a mess. The offense stinks, and the defense can’t stop anyone. A lot of change needs to be made after the season, and that starts with a new head coach.
27. Arizona Cardinals (3-9-1, Last Week: 26)
Week 14 Result: Lost to Pittsburgh, 23-17
Arizona had their chances but shot themselves in the foot numerous times against the Steelers. That starts with Kyler Murray, who has been off in recent weeks, but he’s also playing behind a bad offensive line. That offense will grow in time, and these are just the expected, obvious growing pains for a rookie quarterback and rookie head coach, playing with a dreadful offensive line.
28. Miami Dolphins (3-10, Last Week: 27)
Week 14 Result: Lost to New York Jets, 22-21
That was about as heartbreaking of a loss as you can find. Miami thought they had the Jets down a fourth and long following an incomplete pass. Instead, they fell victim to the NFL officials calling pass interference after review and setting the Jets up for the game-winning field goal. Miami still has a top-five pick, and that’s seemingly the ultimate goal.
29. Washington Redskins (3-10, Last Week: 30)
Week 14 Result: Lost to Green Bay, 20-15
Washington actually kept the Packers at bay on Sunday. The game was a lot closer than many expected. However, the end result is Washington now cannot win the NFC East, and it is truly time to start searching for their next head coach.
30. Detroit Lions (3-9-1, Last Week: 29)
Week 14 Result: Lost to Minnesota, 20-7
After a pretty good debut on Thanksgiving, David Blough looked rough against the Vikings to the tune of just 205 yards and two interceptions. That’s six losses in a row for the Lions. On the plus side, Kenny Golladay went over 1,000 yards receiving and got another receiving touchdown.
31. New York Giants (2-11, Last Week: 31)
Week 14 Result: Lost to Philadelphia, 23-17 (OT)
Eli Manning made his triumphant return to the Giants, in place of the injured Daniel Jones, and had a very nice first half. Then the offense went quiet in the second half, and the defense couldn’t hold an Eagles offense that was down to two available wide receivers. The good news is that the Giants are closing in on securing another top-two pick in the draft.
32. Cincinnati Bengals (1-12, Last Week: 32)
Week 14 Result: Lost to Cleveland, 27-19
The Bengals’ streak ends at one. They hung around, but Andy Dalton struggled again, and Joe Burrow’s chances of landing in Cincinnati just continue to grow. Especially with the Patriots on the horizon in Week 15.
