The Philadelphia Eagles are getting closer to the start of their Super Bowl defense, and one of the key figures is general manager Howie Roseman. He has been integral to building the roster that can continue to compete at a high level and has not been afraid to make some moves.
He was celebrating on May 27 at Citizens Bank Park as he threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Would it be a strike or look like a clunker like Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s first pitch on Memorial Day for the Milwaukee Brewers?

Howie Roseman Fires Ceremonial First Pitch at Philadelphia Phillies Game
The Philadelphia Phillies are hosting their divisional rival, the Atlanta Braves, on May 27, and Roseman was able to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
He was not the only one to throw out a pitch as Guy Gaudreau also did. Roseman delivered a pitch from in front of the pitcher’s rubber and dirt and donned his No. 2 Phillies jersey as he threw his pitch over the plate.

Roseman has been an executive with the Eagles since the 2010 season and has a 139-104-1 career record while also being 10-7 in the postseason. He reclaimed personnel power on Dec. 30, 2015, and since then, the Eagles have won two Super Bowls in three appearances as well as making the playoffs in seven of the previous eight seasons.
Roseman has also gotten incredible amounts of talent by pushing off money to future seasons. According to Front Office Sports, Philadelphia holds the highest cap allocations from 2027 to 2030. However, the pain of the future could be softened by continuing to hit on draft picks and getting guaranteed money to avoid void years, where most of that cap hit is from.
Either way, Roseman has been one of the best executives in the National Football League, as he has won the Executive of the Year twice in his career. He continues to be able to make moves to bolster the current roster and keep them competitive.
Philadelphia has one of the toughest schedules in recent memory this season, as they play 10 games against playoff teams from a year ago.
The Eagles lost some talent this offseason, with defensive end Milton Williams and cornerback Darius Slay being the more notable names. However, this Eagles team is built to be in contention for their fourth Super Bowl appearance since he reclaimed control of personnel a decade ago.
