Commanders Injury Report: Latest on Jayden Daniels, Zach Ertz, and Others for Week 15

The Washington Commanders have been having a massively disappointing 2025 NFL season. They have lost each of their past eight games and now have a 3-10 record. Some of this can be explained by several key injuries, and they are dealing with more of them ahead of their Week 15 matchup against the New York Giants.

Which Key Players Are on the Commanders’ Injury Report in Week 15?

The Commanders will face one of their NFC East rivals in Week 15 as they look to finish a frustrating season with some positive momentum. Here are some of the key players noted on their official injury report as the game approaches.

    1) Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award for last season on his way to leading the Commanders all the way to the NFC Championship game. This year has been limited by injuries, including a dislocated left elbow on his non-throwing arm.

He made his return from the injury last week, but re-injured it during the game, making his Week 15 availability questionable. Marcus Mariota would likely get another start if Daniels is ruled out against the Giants.

    2) George Fant

George Fant was a late addition to the injury report last week when he reportedly hurt his knee during a practice session. He was initially expected to play against the Minnesota Vikings, but the injury suffered in practice resulted in him being ruled out for the contest. He enters Week 15 as questionable to play against the Giants, and if he can go, he could provide a boost to their offensive line.

    3) Zach Ertz

Zach Ertz has been excellent in his two seasons with the Commanders so far. The veteran has appeared in 30 games across the past two years, totaling 116 receptions on 163 targets for 1,158 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He has also been elevating his production recently, ranking among the top ten tight ends in PFSN’s Impact Rankings twice in his past four games.

He has been the most consistent offensive weapon for Washington during the 2025 season as well as one of the healthiest, but his most recent injury update will change this streak to close out the year. Ertz suffered a season-ending ACL injury last week that has officially resulted in him being placed on the injured reserve list.

    4) Drake Jackson

Drake Jackson was recently taken off the injured reserve list, but he has yet to make his debut for the Commanders. He hasn’t played since 2023 when he suffered a major knee injury, but his return appears to be getting close. Perhaps it could come in Week 15 against the Giants.
