Two-time Super Bowl winner Von Miller is on the market after the Buffalo Bills chose to release him. When Buffalo signed the eight-time Pro Bowler in 2022, he was expected to be the piece that would elevate the Bills’ roster enough to finally win their first Lombardi Trophy.
However, the Bills still haven’t been able to bring a Super Bowl home to the loyal fans of Buffalo, and Miller didn’t have the impact fans hoped for. It started with a torn ACL in 2022 that kept him out well into the 2023 season. Then, in 2024, he not only faced a suspension early in the year, but his stats weren’t what they used to be.
Possible Landing Spots for Von Miller in 2025
Miller seems to want redemption — as well as another Super Bowl — before he retires. Multiple teams chasing a Lombardi could benefit from his help in 2025. And while the New Orleans Saints have been named as a possible destination, here are four other possibilities.
Philadelphia Eagles
Miller would get a shot at a revenge game if the defending Super Bowl champs took a chance on the 36-year-old. One of the top 20 all-time sack leaders in NFL history, Miller might have his best shot at winning it all with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Philadelphia selected Jihaad Campbell in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but Miller could add depth and a veteran presence. He also has a prior connection with Vic Fangio from their time together with the Denver Broncos.
Washington Commanders
While the Washington Commanders had a solid draft, they could still use another pass rusher, and Miller might fit the bill. The Commanders let Dante Fowler Jr. and his 10.5 sacks walk after the 2024 season, yet none of the remaining edge rushers topped 5.5 last year.
Washington’s defense ranked 17th overall by PFSN in 2024, with a C grade. The Commanders focused on stopping the run, but they still need help defending the pass.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs put up a rough performance after getting handled by the Eagles in the Super Bowl. But despite winning only three, they became the first team to reach five Super Bowls in six seasons.
Adding Miller to the defense could give 2022 first-round pick George Karlaftis some veteran support.
Kansas City focused heavily on its offensive line in free agency and the draft, but it did give the defense some attention. Miller joining the Chiefs would mean a return to the AFC West — and playing for a bitter rival of the Bills. He could also become the second player in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with three different teams.
Houston Texans
Miller grew up in Texas and played college football at Texas A&M, so Houston would feel like home. The Houston Texans have been steadily improving since adding quarterback C.J. Stroud and building their defense.
If Miller landed in Houston, he’d work alongside five-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Danielle Hunter and 2023 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Will Anderson Jr. on passing downs. Miller wouldn’t need to carry the full workload and could serve as a mentor.
According to PFSN, the Texans had the seventh-best defense in 2024. He could give them valuable depth that’s often tough to find.

The Chiefs won “only” 3 of the 5 recent Superbowls they’ve been in? ONLY THREE!!! How disgusting! All the other teams have been winning ALL the last 5 Superbowls they’ve been in! Now…after you think about what you just wrote, do some research and tell us how the Chiefs sign Miller and stay under the salary cap.
