The wide receiver group has been a constant problem for the Baltimore Ravens. In recent years, many players have disappointed when signed as free agents, with Zay Flowers the only consistent weapon for Lamar Jackson. A different free agent signing could produce different results for them.
Why the Baltimore Ravens Are a Possible Landing Spot for Tyreek Hill
Signings such as DeAndre Hopkins and Odell Beckham Jr. didn’t pan out as expected. But in 2026, with the Ravens entering the season as a contender in the AFC, they need quick answers. And one became available recently following his release.
Tyreek Hill was recently released by the Miami Dolphins after missing most of the 2025 season with an injury. He’s expected to be healthy in 2026, and the Baltimore Ravens could use his services as a low-risk, high-reward option. They’re one of the possible landing spots for the receiver.
“2025 was a particularly difficult year for the Ravens’ wide receiver group. There was a glaring lack of perimeter firepower. No receiver other than Flowers surpassed 340 receiving yards all season. The Ravens have been known to sign veteran receivers. Based on Hill’s production before his season ended last year, he arguably has more left than any of those previous signings. He could be a low-risk, high-reward addition for Baltimore.”
Hill’s production in 2026 will be a big question mark. The receiver was once part of the league’s elite, but the knee injury suffered last season was serious enough to threaten his career. With his speed being the most important part of his game, his return will be an interesting storyline to follow.
His release from Miami was part of a series of moves indicating a rebuilding period for the Dolphins, who also released quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, signed quarterback Malik Willis, and fired coach Mike McDaniel. Hill, 32, is likely to search for a contender as his next team, and the Ravens could be an option. He would join forces with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

If Hill ends up in Baltimore, money shouldn’t be a problem. His price will be much lower than the average of $30 million he signed for with the Dolphins in 2022. Even though the receiver market was reset, his age and the serious 2025 injury will result in a smaller salary.
Any team that signs the veteran receiver will hope that he can recapture his magic from the 2022 and 2023 seasons, when Hill was ranked No. 1 in our PFSN WR Impact Metric. Even if he’s not an elite player anymore, based on the Ravens’ depth chart, he can be an impactful player.
