The 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl is here and brings a talented group of prospects with it. The running back group headed down to Mobile is one of the best in recent memory, with a whopping 11 backs listed on the roster.

Senior Bowl RB Rankings
1) MarShawn Lloyd, USC
Caleb Williams got all the attention on the USC offense, but MarShawn Lloyd might have been the team’s best player this season. An explosive rusher who seemingly glides on the field, Lloyd is a dynamite sparkplug.
Lloyd can also play on all three downs, making him a top weapon in this class. He should shine in drills all week at the Senior Bowl.
2) Jaylen Wright, Tennessee
Jaylen Wright was amongst the national leaders in yards per carry this year, and it’s easy to see why on film. His physicality as a rusher stands out, and he balances that with good vision and patience as a runner.
Wright has questions to answer concerning his three-down ability, but he can be a key cog of a running back committee right out of the gate.
3) Ray Davis, Kentucky
Much like Wright, Ray Davis is a strong, physical rusher. While not quite the angry runner that fellow Kentucky Wildcat Chris Rodriguez was last season, Davis finished second in the SEC in missed tackles and delivered punishment when finishing out runs.
With NFL teams opting to run more power football as of late, Davis has the ability to feel at home right away. Also, just like Wright, I’d like to see how Davis handles the pass protection drills at the Senior Bowl and demonstrate his ability as a receiver.
4) Dylan Laube, New Hampshire
If you want to discuss a case for an Austin Ekeler-style back, Dylan Laube out of New Hampshire fits the bill.

An intriguing receiving back, Laube has the hands, route-running, and ability after the catch to be a dangerous receiving option in the NFL. How he handles a jump in competition at the Senior Bowl will determine his draft stock.
5) Emani Bailey, TCU
Speed is the name of the game with Emani Bailey, and it makes him one of the better backs in this class. Bailey isn’t one-dimensional, however, as he finished fifth in the country in missed tackles forced, speaking to his ability to fight through contact. Showcasing better vision and pass protection in drills will be key to his stock.
