The 2025 NFL Draft continues Friday night (April 25) with the second and third rounds, and several intriguing prospects are set to hear their names called. One name to keep a close eye on is wide receiver Tre Harris out of Ole Miss.
Harris wasn’t projected as a first-round pick heading into the draft, but he has all the tools to become a consistent contributor in an NFL offense.

Best Potential Landing Spots for Tre Harris
Harris spent two seasons at Ole Miss, carving out a reputation as a reliable option in Lane Kiffin’s offense. A Lafayette, Louisiana native, Harris may have missed out on Day 1 buzz, but his skill set could quickly prove doubters wrong once he’s on the field at the next level.
“Harris has the makings of an NFL star. That much was clear early in his Ole Miss career, but even more so in a truncated, injury-shortened 2024 campaign. Three times in eight games, Harris eclipsed 175 receiving yards — totaling over 1,000 yards on the year,” PFSN’s Ian Cummings wrote in a scouting report.
“Harris is unique in how well-rounded he is as a pass-catcher. His highlight plays involve elite catching instincts and hand-eye coordination, and his size at 6’2″, 205 pounds stands out on tape. But he’s also an intelligent and physical route runner with added RAC (run-after-catch) flair.”
With that in mind, here are three teams to watch as potential landing spots for Harris when the 2025 NFL Draft resumes. Don’t rule him out from landing somewhere on Day 2.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns make an intriguing Day 2 fit for Harris. Jerry Jeudy made a solid impact in 2024 after being acquired from the Denver Broncos, and Cedric Tillman showed flashes of promise. Still, Cleveland could benefit from adding more depth and versatility to their wide receiver room especially with so much uncertainty at the quarterback position.
Harris may not be a pure burner, and the Browns could use more field-stretching speed, but he has enough explosiveness to threaten defenses downfield. His reliable hands and physicality would complement Cleveland’s current group.
The only obstacle might be team need. The Browns are in the market for a quarterback on Day 2. Deshaun Watson is expected to miss the entire 2025 campaign after re-rupturing his Achilles tendon. Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco round out the QB room.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys had the opportunity to add a playmaker at No. 12 overall but instead opted for Alabama offensive guard Tyler Booker. That leaves a clear need for a true No. 2 wide receiver behind Pro Bowler CeeDee Lamb.
While Dallas has decent depth in the room with Jonathan Mingo, KaVontae Turpin, and Jalen Tolbert, none have solidified themselves as Lamb’s long-term running mate. Tre Harris could be that guy. With his size, catch radius, and physical route running, he could immediately slot in as a starting outside receiver.
If his development continues on its current trajectory, Harris could help Dallas solidify one of the NFL’s most dangerous receiving duos.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks shook up their receiver room this offseason, trading DK Metcalf to the Steelers and letting Tyler Lockett walk in free agency. Meanwhile, Seattle added veterans Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. While those two provide experience, they don’t preclude Seattle from adding another young talent to develop.
Harris would pair nicely with Jaxon Smith-Njigba, giving new quarterback Sam Darnold a duo of young, versatile targets with big-play potential. Harris’ physical traits and football IQ would make him a great fit in Seattle’s evolving offense, helping balance the mix of veterans and up-and-comers.
