‘You Just Paid Tom Brady $37M’ – Steelers Legend Terry Bradshaw Hilariously Demands Pay Raise After Owning Up to ‘Bad Deals’

Terry Bradshaw opens up about Tom Brady's FOX contract, hilariously demanding a pay raise after being with the network's pregame show since its inception.

Terry Bradshaw had to watch Fox give Tom Brady $37.5 million a year while he’s been grinding through five-hour pregame shows for three decades. Now the 76-year-old Hall of Famer wants to know where his piece of that massive contract is, especially after 27+ million people tuned in to watch him work the Super Bowl pregame coverage.

Why Does Terry Bradshaw Think He Deserves Tom Brady Money?

Bradshaw has been a mainstay on Fox NFL Sunday during its 31-year history. The pregame show set records ahead of this year’s Super Bowl, one that Fox had the honor of hosting. With Brady on the call in his first season as an analyst, Bradshaw wants a piece of his salary as the network signed Brady to an unprecedented $375 million deal.

The 2024 season was the first of a 10-year deal between Brady and Fox. Averaging $37.5 million per year with no prior experience, the network knew that Brady could bring a different element to their games. He immediately replaced Greg Olsen, who had worked his way up to the top, but even Olsen said there’s no bad blood between him and Brady.

Recently, Bradshaw appeared on “To The Point – Home Services Podcast.” On the show, he spoke about the millions of Super Bowl viewers, which turned into a discussion about money. “You know how much money they made? God. More money than plumbers, I can assure you that. 28 million.”

His reference to 28 million is for the number of people that watched the five-hour Fox pregame show, a number Bradshaw was appalled by. “Who in the world is gonna sit around and watch that mess for five hours? 28 million.”

What Did Terry Bradshaw Say About Asking for a Raise?

He continued, “And I guarantee you, if I go in there and ask for a raise, ‘Well, we don’t have any…we’re running a little tight.’ Well, you just paid Tom Brady $37 million a year. I’ll take it. I did some bad deals, that’s what it was.”

Knowing that an audience of 28 million watched Bradshaw for a five-hour period, he could argue that his position is a lot tougher than calling a three to four-hour game with a lengthy break for halftime. Brady stepped up, as he’s done consistently through his NFL career. He held his own on the broadcast, which turned out to be a one-sided beatdown in favor of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite the game’s outcome, Bradshaw’s point still stands. The No. 1 pick in the 1970 draft might be 76 years old, but fans consider him one of the most entertaining parts of Fox’s pregame coverage. He continues to show up on a weekly basis, as he’s done for the past 31 years. It’s not like he needs the money, but he knows it would be a sign of good faith as it’s clear the network made plenty in their Super Bowl coverage.
