Iga Świątek’s Ex-Coach Wim Fissette Stays Back in Miami With Family After Sacking

Wim Fissette remains in Miami with his family to create core memories following his split from world No. 3 Iga Swiatek.

Iga Świątek parted ways with coach Wim Fissette following her opening-round exit at the 2026 Miami Open. After their split, Fissette, along with his wife, Jasmien Clijsner, and their two sons, Arthur and Louis, took some time off to enjoy the Sunshine State.

Świątek ended her three-year partnership with her former coach, Tomasz Wiktorowski, and announced Fissette as her new coach in October 2024. Under Fissette’s guidance, she won three titles: the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, the Cincinnati Open, and the Korea Open.

Wim Fissette and Family Remain in Miami Following Split With Iga Świątek

Ranked world No. 3 at the 2026 Miami Open, Świątek began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She faced compatriot Magda Linette in her opening match and lost 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Following her defeat at the WTA 1000 hard-court tournament in Florida, Świątek took to social media and announced her split from Fissette, while confirming that the rest of her team would remain unchanged.

After the coaching breakup, Fissette, along with his wife and their sons, Arthur and Louis, explored Miami. The family enjoyed a boat ride on the Miami River near the Brickell Avenue Bridge. They swam in the river, had fun on a floating water pad, and created “core memories” before returning home.

“Our last day..” Clijsner captioned her Instagram story.

“Core memories. 🤍,” she continued.

“Time to go home 👋🏻,” Clijsner added.
