Iga Świątek returns to the All England Club for Wimbledon 2025 with one of the most experienced teams on the WTA circuit. The Polish star, known for her dominance on clay, continues to evolve her game as she chases success on grass.
Wim Fissette is Iga Świątek’s Head Coach at Wimbledon
Świątek is now working under the guidance of Wim Fissette, who officially took over coaching duties in October 2024 following her split with long-time coach Tomasz Wiktorowski.
Wiktorowski’s tenure with Świątek ended after the 2024 US Open, concluding a collaboration that began in late 2021. Under his mentorship, Świątek captured four Grand Slam titles, including the 2024 French Open, and established herself as the world’s top-ranked player for a significant stretch.
Wiktorowski previously coached former Polish No. 1 Agnieszka Radwanska and has been a central figure in Polish tennis for over a decade.
Fissette, widely regarded as one of the most accomplished coaches in women’s tennis, has previously worked with a string of Grand Slam champions, including Kim Clijsters, Victoria Azarenka, Simona Halep, Naomi Osaka, Angelique Kerber, and most recently, Qinwen Zheng.

His resume includes leading players to multiple major titles, with Clijsters (3), Osaka (2), and Kerber (1) among the notable beneficiaries.
In addition to Fissette, Świątek’s team includes Anton Dubrov and Andrei Vasilevski in support roles, along with performance coach Jason Stacy. Mike James oversees data and match analytics, while strength and conditioning duties lie with Maciej Ryszczuk, who doubles as her physiotherapist.
Sports psychologist Daria Abramowicz continues her role as a cornerstone of Świątek’s mental preparation since 2019.
Iga Świątek Had a Strong Start to Wimbledon 2025
Iga Świątek entered Wimbledon 2025 after a runner-up finish at the Bad Homburg Open. The Pole reached her maiden final on grass at the WTA 500 event before losing 4-6, 5-7 to Jessica Pegula.
Świątek is seeded eighth at this year’s edition of the grass-court Major and faced Polina Kudermetova in the opening round. She put on fine performance and beat the Russian 7-5, 6-1 to book her place in the second round.
Here, the 24-year-old will take on Caty McNally, who triumphed 6-3, 6-1 over Jodie Burrage in her Wimbledon opener. Świątek has had just one prior encounter with the American, beating her 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the AGEL Open in Ostrava in 2022.
Whoever out of the two wins, will take on either Danielle Collins or Slovenian qualifier Veronika Erjavec in the third round of Wimbledon 2025.
