Ben Shelton is enjoying an impressive run at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, having reached the quarterfinals. But what makes his run even more special is the unwavering support of his family and loved ones, who have been a constant presence in his player’s box. Let’s take a closer look at the familiar faces cheering him on from the stands at SW19.
Who All Are Present at Ben Shelton’s Player’s Box During His 2025 Wimbledon Campaign?
At the heart of Shelton’s success is his father and coach, Bryan Shelton. A former professional player, Bryan became his son’s full-time coach in 2023 and has since accompanied him to several major tournaments, including the French Open in May, and is now at Wimbledon. The 59-year-old would also be rooting for his son when he battles it out for a place in the semifinals on Wednesday.

For those unaware, Ben Shelton comes from a family deeply rooted in tennis. His mother, Lisa Witsken Shelton, was once a top-ranked junior who competed at the collegiate level. Although she eventually stepped away from the sport, she has passionately supported her son through several high-stakes tournaments, including the 2025 Wimbledon Championships.
Another notable presence in the World No. 10’s box is his sister, Emma Shelton. As the American found his rhythm at the sport’s oldest Major, Emma was a constant presence in his corner. And she has made time to attend Ben Shelton’s matches despite her demanding role at the global investment banking firm Morgan Stanley. Following his fourth-round win over Lorenzo Sonego, the 22-year-old labeled his sister as his ‘lucky charm.’
“Also, my sister’s here, she’s been here for every match that I’ve played, she’s been the lucky charm,” he said.
“My parents are here, my girlfriend is here. My sister is here …”

Last but not least, Shelton’s girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, is also present in his box at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. A professional soccer player, she plays for the United States Women’s National Team and the Washington Spirit in the NWSL. Rodman often travels with Shelton on tour and has grown close to his family during his pursuit of a maiden Grand Slam title.
Ben Shelton Will Face Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon Quarterfinals
The road ahead at Wimbledon is anything but easy for Ben Shelton, and the challenge awaiting him in the quarterfinals is no exception. The American is set to face top seed Jannik Sinner, who has won 23 of his 27 matches this season, captured the Australian Open title in January, and recently finished runner-up at the French Open.
Adding to Shelton’s concerns is Sinner’s commanding 5-1 lead in their head-to-head record. The Italian also boasts a 70% win rate on grass, significantly higher than Shelton’s 54.55%. But Sinner looked out of touch in his fourth-round encounter against Grigor Dimitrov, something Shelton could draw confidence from.

The American will not only aim to improve his head-to-head record against Sinner but also look to reach his third Grand Slam semifinal. The winner of their clash will go on to face either Flavio Cobolli or Novak Djokovic in the final four.
