A Ring Mix-Up Fuels Lighthearted Banter Between Tommy Paul and Paige Lorenze

Paul and Lorenze have been a public couple since 2022. Lorenze, a well-known lifestyle and travel influencer who runs her own brand, Dairy Boy, frequently shares curated snapshots from her life, whether she is traveling, working, or supporting Paul on tour.

Their engagement last year added a personal highlight to what has otherwise been a demanding season for Paul on the ATP circuit. In July, he proposed during a private moment in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

The playful mix-up surfaced during a recent Instagram Q&A, when a follower asked Lorenze if she was comfortable sharing details about her engagement ring. Lorenze responded with a heartfelt explanation, writing,

“Tommy had it made in NYC in the Diamond District with a family owned jeweler, and I had absolutely no idea what it was going to look like when the time came. I just knew it would be white gold because that’s what Tommy had always said he loved. It was a complete surprise, and it feels so thoughtful and so us. I truly couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful ring.”

Shortly after posting that response, Lorenze shared a screenshot from her direct messages showing Paul’s immediate reaction. In the message, Paul gently corrected her assumption, writing, “Is it white gold or platinum? I would have thought platinum just for the durability for riding!”

Lorenze followed up by posting the screenshot with a laughing caption, admitting the mix-up and writing, “It’s platinum. Tommy immediately texted me correcting me!!!! 😭😂”

How Did Injuries Shape Paul’s Uneven 2025 Season on Tour?

Paul’s 2025 season has been derailed by a string of injuries that disrupted his momentum on the ATP Tour. The issues began at the French Open, where an abdominal strain in the quarterfinals forced him to later withdraw from the Queen’s Club Championships as the defending champion.

The setbacks continued at Wimbledon, where a ruptured tendon in his left foot during a second-round match sidelined him for about two weeks. Although he returned to competition, Paul struggled to regain consistency, bowing out in the third round of the US Open and withdrawing from the Davis Cup tie against the Czech Republic, the Laver Cup, and the Shanghai Masters.
