Paige Paul Reposts Sweet Cincinnati Fan Chant for Husband Tommy Paul During Match vs Alexander Zverev

The World No. 24 kept his cool under pressure to beat Zverev 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-4 after a nearly 90-minute rain delay interrupted their Cincinnati clash. They were also forced to pause twice during the match as light rain returned.

“Not really sure,” the 29-year-old said when asked how he had turned the match around in the second set. “I guess just put some returns in. He gave me a couple of looks at second serves and a couple of doubles there, that helped me out a tonne. Then I was just going after the ball a little bit more, going after the second [serve] a little bit more. And I’m having fun out here, having fun.”

And the fans in the stadium were having fun too. During a quick break, as Paul rested on his bench, a group of fans in the stands began chanting, “I say, ‘Tommy,’ you say, ‘Paul!’ Tennis TV caught the moment on camera, with Paul enjoying and appreciating the support.

Paul’s wife, Paige Paul (née Lorenze), who has been by his side as one of his biggest supporters, also shared the reel on her Instagram Story. She also wrote, “he’s somehow even more delicious and cute in person btw.”

The 29-year-old ATP star met Paige, the creative director and founder of Dairy Boy, after liking her Instagram posts in the summer of 2022. After Tommy started interacting with her posts, Paige made the first move by sending him a DM. They exchanged numbers and went on their first date later that year, when Tommy invited her to watch him play at the U.S. Open. As Paige fondly recalls, “The rest is history.”

Three years later, in the summer of 2025, Tommy planned a private proposal in Nantucket, a place where Paige spent her childhood summers. In July 2026, the couple got married at the Old Westbury Gardens in New York, a historic Gold Coast estate that inspired Daisy Buchanan’s home in “The Great Gatsby.”

Paul’s latest win has earned him a 50th tour-level quarter-final, where he will meet seventh seed Flavio Cobolli for a semi-final place in Ohio.
