Riddle, 27, has been a constant presence throughout Fritz’s Wimbledon run, attending all his matches and documenting her experience on social media.

“There’s been a pretty constant results and ranking rise since we’ve been together,” Fritz said after his quarterfinal victory. “I would have to say she’s been a big help to me just kind of keeping me focused, having someone who cares and just pushes you to just do better and do the right things, be healthier.”

Taylor Fritz’s Impressive Performance During Wimbledon Semifinals Agaisnt Carlos Alcaraz

Fritz put up a strong fight against Alcaraz, hitting 19 aces and 44 winners throughout the match. The American served well, winning 80% of his first-serve points and keeping pace with the Spanish champion for much of the contest. Fritz even accumulated more total winners than Alcaraz (44 to 38) and served more aces (19 to 13).

The match turned on a crucial fourth-set tiebreak where Fritz held a 6-4 lead and was serving for the set. However, Alcaraz showed his prowess by winning the next four points to close out the match. This marked Fritz’s closest attempt at reaching his first Wimbledon final, having previously lost in the quarterfinals twice in five-set matches.

Fritz now has 30 wins out of 42 matches so far in the 2025 season.
