Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, and Ben Shelton recently reacted to his message after his runner-up finish at the 2026 Dallas Open.

Taylor Fritz started his North American hard-court swing at the 2026 Dallas Open, where he finished as the runner-up to Ben Shelton. After his loss in the final, the former World No. 4 reflected on the defeat, drawing reactions from his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, and Shelton.

Fritz and Riddle have been together for nearly six years, having started dating in early 2020. Riddle is a social media influencer who primarily focuses on fashion and tennis content.

Taylor Fritz’s GF Morgan Riddle and Ben Shelton React to His Message After Dallas Open Final Loss

Fritz was the top seed at the 2026 Dallas Open, and he began his campaign by defeating Marcos Giron and Brandon Nakashima in the first two rounds.

In the quarterfinals, he overcame Sebastian Korda and secured his spot in the final by eliminating Marin Čilić in the semifinals. In the championship match, Fritz lost to Shelton, finishing as the runner-up.

Following his runner-up finish, Fritz took to social media to share a series of pictures from the trophy presentation ceremony at the ATP 500 hard-court tournament.

He expressed that the defeat “hurt” but that he was “happy” with the level of his game. Fritz also congratulated Shelton on his “well-deserved” title win, commending him for putting up an “unreal fight” in the final.

“Thank you Dallas ❤️ Level is there and getting better every match. Yesterday hurts, but happy with the tennis all week. Congrats to @benshelton for an unreal fight and a well-deserved title. On to the next 🫡,” Fritz captioned his Instagram post.

Reacting to Fritz’s heartfelt message after the match, his girlfriend, Riddle, showed her support by commenting with a white heart emoji. Meanwhile, Shelton commented with a praying-hands emoji to Fritz, praising him for his win.

“🤍,” Riddle commented.

“🙏🏽,” Shelton wrote.

With his victory over Fritz in the final of the 2026 Dallas Open, Shelton claimed his first title of the season and the fourth ATP Tour title of his career.

He competed in the doubles event at the tournament alongside Aleksandar Kovacevic, reaching the quarterfinals before losing to Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul.

Where Will Taylor Fritz Compete Next?

Looking ahead, Fritz is set to compete at the 2026 Delray Beach Open, which began on February 16, 2026, and will run until February 22, 2026, at the Delray Beach Tennis Center.

The former World No. 4 has won the Delray Beach Open twice in his career: first in 2023, when he defeated Kecmanović in the final. He then defended his title in 2024 by triumphing over compatriot Tommy Paul in the championship match.

This year, Fritz is the top seed at the tournament and will begin his campaign in the second round following a first-round bye. He will face the winner of the first-round match between Ethan Quinn and Rafael Jódar in his opening match.
