Ben Shelton secured his first title of the season at the 2026 Dallas Open. His sister, Emma Shelton, his girlfriend, professional soccer player Trinity Rodman, and his family celebrated his victory ecstatically.
Shelton and Rodman made their relationship public in March 2025. Rodman plays as a forward for the U.S. national team and for the Washington Spirit in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Meanwhile, the former World No. 5’s sister, Emma, works in the corporate sector but has a background in collegiate tennis, having competed for the University of South Carolina and the University of Florida.
Ben Shelton’s Sister Emma and Girlfriend Trinity Rodman Celebrate Him Winning the 2026 Dallas Open Title
Shelton was seeded second at the 2026 Dallas Open. He began his campaign by defeating Gabriel Diallo with a score of 6-4, 6-4, and then triumphed over Adrian Mannarino with a score of 7-6(2), 6-7(4), 6-3 in the first and second rounds, respectively. In the quarterfinals, he eliminated Miomir Kecmanović with a score of 5-7, 6-3, 6-4.
Shelton secured his place in the final of the ATP 500 hard court tournament by overcoming defending champion and seventh seed Denis Shapovalov with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(4) in the semifinals. In the championship match, he defeated top seed Taylor Fritz with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, winning the 2026 Dallas Open and claiming his fourth ATP Tour title.
During his victory speech, Shelton thanked his family, who traveled to Dallas to watch him play. He expressed his love for his sister Emma and his aunt for supporting him in the final. In a humorous moment, he mentioned that no other aunt had flown more miles to watch her nephew play tennis.
“Thank you for believing in me. Thank you those who flew in today or late night to make it here. My sister and my aunt.. my aunt has flown more than any aunt has ever flown to see their nephew play tennis. Just about every continent. I love all of you guys. You guys are the best,” Shelton said.
After his win, the former World No. 5 took to social media, sharing a series of pictures of himself posing with the Dallas Open trophy, as well as photos with Rodman and his entire family celebrating with the trophy.

Reacting to her brother’s victory, Emma took to social media and called him a “champ”.
“Champ!!!!! 🏆 🥹,” Emma captioned her Instagram story.
“Champ!!!!!” Emma commented.
Shelton’s girlfriend, Rodman, described his victory as “unreal.”
“Just wow… unreal,” Rodman captioned her Instagram story.
Looking ahead, following his title win at the Dallas Open, Shelton is next expected to compete at the 2026 Mexican Open, scheduled to take place from Feb. 23 to Feb. 28, 2026. The matches will be played on the outdoor hard courts at the Arena GNP Seguros in Acapulco, Mexico.
In addition to Shelton, players like Alexander Zverev, Alex de Minaur, Lorenzo Musetti, Casper Ruud, Frances Tiafoe, Grigor Dimitrov, and Gaël Monfils, among others, are also expected to compete at the ATP 500 hard-court tournament in Acapulco.
