Roger Federer’s Twin Daughters Show Up Alongside Their Brothers To Watch Their Father Play Tennis in Shanghai

Roger Federer’s twin daughters, Charlene and Myla, along with their brothers, Leo and Lenny, were recently spotted attending a match at the 2025 Shanghai Masters ahead of watching their father play tennis at the tournament.

During his career, the former World No. 1 won the Shanghai title twice, first in 2014, defeating Gilles Simon in the final, and again in 2017, where he triumphed over Rafael Nadal. He also finished as the runner-up once, in 2010, losing to Andy Murray.

Why Are Roger Federer’s Twin Daughters and Sons Attending Matches at Shanghai Masters 2025?

Federer and his wife, Mirka, got married on April 11, 2009, at Wenkenhof Villa in Riehen, near Basel. They are parents to two sets of identical twins: their first set, twin girls Charlene Riva and Myla Rose, were born in 2009, followed by their identical twin boys, Leo and Lenny, in 2014.

Recently, Charlene, Myla, Leo, and Lenny attended the quarterfinal match between Daniil Medvedev and Alex de Minaur at the 2025 Shanghai Masters. This match was held ahead of the celebrity doubles exhibition event in which their father was set to play.

At the ATP Masters 1000 hard court tournament, Federer will take part in a doubles event called “Roger and Friends.” He will be joined by actors Wu Lei and Donnie Yen and two-time Grand Slam doubles champion Zheng Jie for this special event.

Federer retired from professional tennis in 2022, three years ago, after competing at the Laver Cup. Throughout his career, he won 20 Grand Slam singles titles, which include six Australian Open titles, one French Open title, a record eight men’s singles Wimbledon titles, and five US Open titles.

The Swiss was ranked World No. 1 in the ATP rankings and won a gold medal in doubles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, as well as a silver medal in singles at the 2012 London Olympics, among many other accolades.

‘We Are a Sporty Family’ – What Did Roger Federer Say About Playing Tennis With His Children?

Last month, during an exclusive interview with “NotYourCountryClub,” Federer spoke about his children. He shared that Charlene, Myla, Leo, and Lenny did homeschooling while traveling as a family due to his tennis career.

The former World No. 1 noted that all his children have had an “exciting life” since their birth, but he also acknowledged that it hasn’t always been a “simple” life.

“My girls and my boys did a bunch of homeschooling, and we were on the road. And, I mean, their life has been turned upside down from the first day. So I think they’ve had the most exciting life, but also something that’s not the most simple. But, I think overall it’s been fantastic,” Federer said.

Federer revealed that his son Leo has participated in some tennis tournaments, while his other three children are less interested in the sport. However, he said that as a family, which he described as “sporty,” they enjoy golfing, skiing, and tennis in addition to other activities.

“And in terms of tennis, one of my boys, Leo, he’s playing some tennis tournaments. And then Mila, Charlene, and Lenny they’re a little less into the game. But they all play. Like they all ski and they all play golf. So I’m happy. We are a sporty family, and it’s good to get out there and do some sports, not just tennis,” he added.
