Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, and Carlos Alcaraz’s Next Tournament Details

After winning the Australian Open, Alcaraz decided to skip the Rotterdam Open in a bid to get some rest before returning to action. The Spaniard cited the need for some “time to recover” after a grueling run at the Australian Open, where he was pushed to five sets in the semifinals and four sets in the final.

Alcaraz is currently listed on the ATP Tour’s player list for the Qatar Open, but that could change in the coming days if he is unable to make a full recovery in time for the tournament.

Djokovic is all set to compete in the Qatar Open. The Serb is a global brand ambassador for Qatar Airways, and hopes to improve on his first-round loss to Matteo Berrettini last year. He has won the tournament twice – in 2016 and 2017.

Following his defeat to Djokovic in the semifinals of the Australian Open, Sinner is already back on the tennis court, preparing for his return to the tour. According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, he will head to Doha on Monday to continue his preparations for the tournament.

The 2026 Qatar Open is scheduled to take place from Feb. 16-21, and will have a prize money of $2,833,335. The ATP 500 event will be played on the hard courts of the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

A total of 32 singles players and 16 doubles players will take part in the 2026 Qatar Open. The Qatar Open is also a WTA 1000 event, which will be played from Feb. 8-14.

Who Won the Qatar Open in 2025?

Rublev won the Qatar Open in 2025 after defeating Jack Draper in the final. The Russian came out on top in a closely-contested final that lasted three sets, winning 7-5, 5-7, 6-1.

As stated above, Djokovic was eliminated in the first round. Meanwhile, Alcaraz was beaten by Jiří Lehečka in the quarterfinals, losing 3-6, 6-3, 4-6.
