The 2026 Monte-Carlo Masters draw has been revealed, with Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner as the top two seeds. The 56-player roster is stacked in both halves of the draw as multiple former champions prepare to compete.
Monte-Carlo Masters Singles Draw Featuring Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner
While several top players have entered the tournament, many others have opted out of the first Masters 1000 event of the season. Two-time champion Novak Djokovic leads the withdrawal list, with Taylor Fritz, Jack Draper, Arthur Fils, Sebastian Korda, Jaume Munar, and former finalist Alejandro Davidovich Fokina following suit.
Wildcards have been awarded to Matteo Berrettini, Miami Open breakout star Moïse Kouamé, Gaël Monfils, and 2014 champion Stan Wawrinka.
Alcaraz, Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Lorenzo Musetti, Alex de Minaur, Félix Auger-Aliassime, and Daniil Medvedev are the top eight seeds. They’ve received a bye in the opening round. The qualifiers are expected to be placed after the conclusion of the qualifying rounds (April 4 and 5).
Three-time champion Stefanos Tsitsipas and 2023 winner Andrey Rublev are among the former titlists besides Wawrinka and defending champion Alcaraz. Local favorite Valentin Vacherot, the 2025 Shanghai Masters champion, has also received a direct main-draw entry.

Clay-court specialist Sebastian Baez has Stan Wawrinka as his first opponent. The winner will face Carlos Alcaraz. The winner of Ugo Humbert vs. Moïse Kouamé, meanwhile, will face Jannik Sinner.
Francisco Cerundolo vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jakub Mensik vs. Fabian Marozsan, Tallon Griekspoor vs. Gaël Monfils, João Fonseca vs. Gabriel Diallo, and Frances Tiafoe vs. Terence Atmane are some of the top first-round matchups.
The main-draw matches begin Sunday, April 5 onwards, with the final scheduled for Sunday, April 12.
Alcaraz and Sinner will battle for the World No. 1 spot at the tournament. The Spaniard, being the reigning champion, is defending 1000 ranking points, while the Italian, who missed the event last year, has no points to defend. Alcaraz will start his campaign just 190 points ahead of his rival in the live rankings.
The players have already commenced their trainings. Sinner, the Sunshine Double champion, arrived in Monaco on Tuesday and had his first practice on Thursday. Ruud, Zverev, Norrie, Musetti, Vacherot, and Hurkacz were some of the players spotted training at the venue. The World No. 1, meanwhile, is expected to arrive at the tournament on Saturday, April 4.
