Widely regarded as one of the sport’s all-time greats, McEnroe won seven Grand Slam titles during his illustrious career. Beyond his achievements on the court, his personal life has long been in the public eye. Emily McEnroe is his third child from his first marriage to actress Tatum O’Neal, following sons Sean and Kevin McEnroe.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Emily pursued a career in acting while also expanding her creative portfolio as a singer and voice actor. She made her big-screen debut in the feature film Future Days in 2024, starring alongside Tania Raymonde and Rosanna Arquette. Earlier, she worked as a voice double for acclaimed actress Scarlett Johansson in the 2017 sci-fi film Ghost in the Shell.

One of the significant milestones in Emily’s life came last year, when she got engaged to Timothy and announced the news through a photo dump on social media. Nearly a year later, the engagement found its way back into the public spotlight during Djokovic’s second-round match at the Australian Open.

The American, who covers the tournament for ESPN, made the reference during his commentary, saying:

“I am going to say hello to my daughter, Emily. You know why? Because she got engaged to a guy by the name of Francesco Timothy Massarelli. Forever, and mister Massarelli, hello. Something very good about those Italians, Italian Americans! You better be good to my daughter.”

On the tennis front, Djokovic faced little resistance in overcoming Italy’s Francesco Maestrelli. The former World No. 1 displayed his trademark dominance from the start, taking the first set 6-3. Riding the momentum, he comfortably claimed the next two sets 6-2, 6-2, advancing to the third round. All eyes will be on the Serb as he chases his 25th Grand Slam title at the event.
