Jessica Pegula, one of the top-ranked American tennis players in the world, recently showed off a unique gift she received during this year’s Billie Jean King Cup in China. The billionaire heiress shared the development on Instagram, where over 316,000 people follow her.
What Did Jessica Pegula Receive as a Gift From a Fan in China?
Pegula recently took to her Instagram Stories to flaunt the adorable gift she received from one of her Chinese fans, whom she did not name. It was a key ring, engraved with her beloved dog Maddie.
“The cutest little keychain of my dog Maddie fan from a Chinese fan,” Pegula captioned the heart-warming picture.

In a follow-up post, she showed off a jar where she kept bracelets and other mementos gifted by fans. “I also almost always save the little bracelets and gifts I get, so keep them coming,” she urged her fans.

The development comes amid the US team’s ongoing campaign to clinch a record-extending 19th title.
Pegula lost her singles rubber to former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in the quarter-final against Kazakhstan. However, the 31-year-old paired up with Taylor Townsend in the deciding doubles match to book the American team’s passage into the final, where they will face a UK side led by Katie Boulter.
“I just took it as a challenge and wanted to kind of redeem myself a little bit out there against her, try and help my team get a win,” Pegula said after the US team secured a spot in the final. “Even though I wasn’t able to do it on the singles court, we had a chance to take it in doubles.”
The winner of the match will face off against holders Italy, who have already made the final after defeating Ukraine in the other semifinal.
Pegula’s Love for Dogs Is Well Known
Pegula has long shared her love for dogs alongside her success on court. After winning the National Bank Open in Montreal in 2022, Pegula dedicated the title to her late German shepherd, Dexter, crediting him with helping her through difficult times. Earlier this year, Pegula celebrated her first clay-court title at the Charleston Open by bringing her mini Australian shepherd, Maddie, on stage for the trophy ceremony.
Pegula also channels her passion for animals into philanthropy. She founded A Lending Paw, a charity supporting dog rescue and rehabilitation groups, and recently became a spokesperson for Maev, a human-grade raw dog food company.
“Our pets are part of our family,” Pegula has said. “So why not do the best to make them feel great?”
The American, one of the most consistent players on tour, recently made the semifinals of the US Open, where she lost in a re-match of last year’s final to World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
