Jannik Sinner Touted To Win ATP Finals Ahead of Carlos Alcaraz by Former Pro Due to 1 Factor

Former double World No.1 shared her predictions for the winner of 2025 ATP Finals, selecting Jannik Sinner to claim the title over Carlos Alcaraz.

Former doubles World No. 1 Rennae Stubbs recently shared her predictions for the winner of the 2025 ATP Finals, picking Jannik Sinner to claim the title over World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz. Stubbs believes that the Italian has an advantage due to his strong foothold in playing on indoor hard courts.

The 2025 ATP Finals are scheduled to take place from Nov. 9 to Nov. 16, 2025, on the indoor hard courts at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. Alcaraz, Sinner, Novak Djokovic, and Alexander Zverev have already qualified for the season-ending tournament.

What Did Rennae Stubbs Say About Jannik Sinner’s Chances of Winning ATP Finals 2025?

Sinner most recently competed in the 2025 Vienna Open. He defeated Daniel Altmaier, fellow Italian Flavio Cobolli, eighth seed Alexander Bublik, and third seed Alex de Minaur to reach the final. In the championship match, he triumphed over second seed Zverev with a scoreline of 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 to win the tournament, claiming his second Vienna Open title and his 22nd career ATP Tour title.

During a recent episode of the ‘Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast,’ Stubbs revealed that she has picked Sinner to win the 2025 ATP Finals because he is “fire” on the indoor courts. She acknowledged that while Alcaraz has defeated Sinner more often on the ATP Tour, the Italian’s prowess on indoor hard courts ultimately influenced her choice.

“So Jannik was again just on fire indoors. That’s why I picked him to win the ATP Tour Finals because it is indoors. Although Carlos has beaten him on occasions, on a hard court, and I believe indoors, I just feel like Jannik, his power is just, you know, he hit a backhand down the line to give him a breakpoint against Zevrev at 5-5 on the third,” Stubbs said.

Stubbs also praised Sinner’s performance against Zverev in the final of the 2025 Vienna Open.

“It was an unbelievably long point, and then he just got the opportunity to go for the back end down the line and hit a ridiculous backhand down the line to get the break point, and then just too good. Zverev made a pretty passive, I believe, error to lose the game, and then Jannik serves it out unbelievably well,” she added.

Last year at the ATP Finals, Sinner triumphed over De Minaur, Taylor Fritz, and Daniil Medvedev in the group stage matches. He then defeated Casper Ruud in the semifinals before claiming the title by beating Fritz in the grand finale.
