Jannik Sinner’s Lockscreen Draws Reactions From Fans

Sinner has long been guarded about his private life, but as the top-ranked player in the world and one of tennis’ most marketable figures, he has had to fend off persistent questions about whether he has a girlfriend. Earlier this year, in May, he was photographed walking through Monte Carlo with Russian model Lara Lieto, which led to widespread speculation. He dismissed the rumors at a press conference, clarifying that he was not in a relationship.

Just weeks later, the 24-year-old was spotted in Copenhagen, which fueled further questions from the press. At the French Open, Sinner was quizzed about his time in the Danish capital with “a girl” who appeared to be Laila Hasanovic. The tennis star, however, denied the claim, stating that he was in the city for photoshoots. The Danish model was reportedly spotted at Sinner’s match during the Paris Slam and later attended Wimbledon.

At the US Open, meanwhile, the Italian admitted that he’s ‘in love’ but refused to disclose further details about his personal life. He, however, triggered fresh speculation from fans after the US Open cameras captured him using his phone, which had Hasanovic’s picture as the lockscreen.

The frenzy began during Sinner’s third-round win over Denis Shapovalov at the US Open, when television cameras zeroed in on his phone in a cooldown area. The New York Post highlighted that the lock screen spotted at the US Open resembled Hasanovic’s Armani Beauty campaign from July, drawing attention to how closely the image matched his background.

Italian weekly Dipiù added fuel to the fire by quoting Nicoletta Stampfl, co-owner of Santo Gelato in the La Condamine neighborhood of Monte Carlo, who said the pair had spent time together at her shop. “Sinner and Laila Hasanovic live in the La Condamine neighborhood of Monte Carlo. Our shop is right below their building,” she said, while also praising Hasanovic’s personality and comparing her kind nature to Sinner’s.

Jannik Sinner’s lockscreen drew fans’ attention yet again, when he posed for a picture with a supporter. Images of his phone circulated widely on X, with many users joking about how Sinner’s private life continues to be revealed through his phone. “This damn lock screen coming to haunt me again, someone get him a screen shield asap I beg,” one fan wrote on X.

It is worth noting that the World No. 1’s previously relationship with fellow tennis player Anna Kalinskaya was unintentionally revealed through his phone, when she called him while he posed for a picture with a fan.

Another joked, “Rumors about him and Anna were confirmed via his screen too. He never learns.”

Others jokingly questioned whether the timing of the leaks was coincidental, “My only question is, who have ever seen his screen before ….no one ever but it happens so often now”

“Yeah he’s doing it on purpose,” another post read.
