Jannik Sinner entered the Miami Open as the No. 2 seed. After a bye in the first round, he defeated Bosnian talent Damir Džumhur 6-3, 6-3 in the second round. He is competing in Florida after clinching the Indian Wells title by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final. On his way to that title, he beat Alexander Zverev, Learner Tien, João Fonseca, Denis Shapovalov, and Dalibor Svrcina.
Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki attended his opening match in Miami. While taking in the impressive action, she shared a sweet glimpse with her daughter, Olivia, on Instagram.

Wozniacki, the winner of 30 WTA Tour singles titles, welcomed Olivia with her husband, former NBA star David Lee, on June 11, 2021. Along with Olivia, the couple has two other children: James, born on Oct. 24, 2022, and Max, born in July 2025.
Before attending Sinner’s match, the Odense, Denmark, native was seen taking in action at the Heat vs. Lakers game at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The game also saw Carlos Alcaraz in attendance, and he was captured talking to Wozniacki’s friends, which sparked unfounded rumors.

The star later dismissed speculation about Alcaraz’s private life in an X post: “lol, that’s me and my (married) friends 😂 not juicy I’m afraid lol.”
The Spaniard started his campaign in Miami by beating João Fonseca 6-4, 6-4. He faced Sebastian Korda in the third round on Sunday.
Sinner reflected on his thoughts after securing his opening win at the Miami Open, mentioning, “For me, the transition game is very important. It’s a part that we’ve tried to improve a lot. It also depends a bit, day by day. Today, starting off with a break straightaway, I tried to be a bit aggressive.”

He continued, “At times it worked very well, at times I made a couple of unforced errors, but I didn’t have a lot of time to adjust here. It’s very different than in Indian Wells. First-round matches are never easy, so I’m happy.”
Sinner, who won the Miami Open in 2024, is set to clash against Frenchman Corentin Moutet in the third round on Monday. According to PFSN’s interactive tennis predictor, the Italian has a 94% chance of securing the win.
