Jannik Sinner Congratulates Kimi Antonelli After Historic Chinese GP Win

Since being named a “Friend of F1” in December 2023, Sinner has become a vibrant ambassador for the sport. He is a regular presence at races, and at the thrilling 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix finale, he had the honor of waving the chequered flag and mingling with Max Verstappen and other racing legends.

In December 2025, Sinner once again attended the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and spent time with Antonelli, George Russell, Toto Wolff, Oliver Bearman, and others. Apart from his love for tennis, Sinner had also reflected on how much he adores his role with Formula One, adding, “Being Italian, F1 is in my blood, so I couldn’t be more excited to be working with not only the best brand in motorsports, but the best sports platform in the world.”

In his recent Instagram story, the Italian star shared his congratulations to the 19-year-old Mercedes racer, Antonelli, who won the Chinese Grand Prix, becoming the second-youngest driver to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix. Apart from this, he also became the first Italian to win a Grand Prix in two decades. He added, “Complimenti (Compliments) 🏆🇮🇹: 🫶🏻 @kimi.antonelli.”

During his recent interview on the “Tennis Channel,” the four-time major champion shared how much he enjoys Formula One and his plans for watching it while also preparing for the final match ahead.

Sinner mentioned, “We are all quite in shape to play a couple of days in a row. If not, in any case tomorrow you practice. So you always go on court in any case, but there is the tension in the final day. It’s always very different. It’s also an important night because there’s also the Formula One, but it is midnight, so it’s not ideal.”

He continued, “I might not watch it, but yesterday there was the sprint race. I always try to find a way to see what I want to see certain things, but kind of relax me also. So, yeah, but hopefully I will be ready for tomorrow.”

After completing his run at the Indian Wells Open, Sinner will be heading to the Miami Open, which will be played from March 15 to 29, 2026, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
