Sinner vs. Zverev Head-to-Head History
After 11 meetings, it is Sinner who has a 7-4 lead in the head-to-head against Zverev. Their most recent encounter was at Indian Wells a few days ago, where the Italian won 6-2, 6-4.
Sinner has yet to drop a set in Miami this year, with the Italian beginning his campaign with wins over the likes of Damir Džumhur and 30th-seeded Corentin Moutet in the first couple of rounds. In the fourth round, he faced a tricky test against Alex Michelsen, who had a 5-2 lead in the second set, but the Italian won 7-5, 7-6 (4).
In the quarterfinals, the second seed put on another dominant performance, winning 6-2, 6-2 against 19th-seeded Frances Tiafoe.
Zverev got a bye in the first round and began his campaign in Miami with a win over Martin Damm in the second round. He had a tough three-set win over Marin Čilić in the third round, followed by a 7-6 (4), 7-6 (1) win over Quentin Halys in the fourth round.
His most dominant performance came in the quarterfinals, winning 6-1, 6-2 against 18th-seeded Francisco Cerúndolo.

Sinner has the better break-point conversion rate, winning 12 of 29 break-point opportunities (41%), compared to Zverev, who has won 10 of 34 break-point opportunities (29%).
The PFSN Simulator has given Sinner a 78% win probability, which is not surprising given that the Italian is unbeaten in 15 matches at the Masters 1000 level, dropping no sets. For Zverev to have a chance, he needs to be aggressive on the baseline and not be flustered by Sinner’s return positions, which was the case in Indian Wells.
Given the current form, however, Sinner is the big favorite to win and reach the final.

Pick: Sinner to win in straight sets.
