The Czech star celebrated the biggest milestone of his young career, surrounded by his girlfriend and mother.

Menšík defeated Brazil’s Fonseca in straight sets (6-4, 6-3, 7-6 (3)) on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the French Open at Roland Garros. With this victory under the closed roof of Court Philippe-Chatrier, the 20-year-old became the youngest Czech man in history to reach a Grand Slam semifinal.
During his speech after the match, Menšík kept his eyes on his mother, Katerina. She was seen enthusiastically clapping and making heart-shaped hand gestures.

His girlfriend, Josefina Catino, was also at the Court Philippe-Chatrier. The couple has been together since 2025, and Catino has embraced the tennis lifestyle, calling Roland Garros her favorite tournament to attend.
Ahead of the quarterfinal clash, the Argentine shared a mirror selfie showing off her match-day style in a white long-sleeve top and black pants while sporting her official tournament accreditation badge.
Catino later re-shared a video of herself celebrating ecstatically in the stands, captioning that she only watched half the match because she spent the other half praying. Once victory was secured, she posted a view from the stands of Menšík’s on-court interview with an enthusiastic “let’s f** gooooo @mensik.jakub.”
Shortly after the match, Menšík was seen in the tournament hallways sharing an emotional hug with Catino in celebration. She reposted Roland-Garros’ official account’s post with them, captioning it “the proudest✨💕.“

In the second round, Menšík had battled through extreme 90-degree heat for nearly five hours against Mariano Navone, collapsing after the final point and requiring a wheelchair to leave the court. But he recovered to outlast Andrey Rublev in another five-set thriller in the fourth round.
