Jack Draper vs Jiří Lehečka Preview

Second seed Jack Draper will face Jiří Lehečka in the semifinals of the Queen’s Club Championships. Whoever wins, will take on either top seed Carlos Alcaraz or Roberto Bautista Agut in the final of the ATP 500 event.

Draper has had an impressive 2025 season so far, winning 28 out of 35 matches. The Brit won his maiden Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells and reached the final of the Madrid Open and the Qatar Open.

The World No. 5 started his grass swing at the Queen’s Club Championships and started his campaign with a comprehensive 6-3, 6-1 win over Jenson Brooksby before edging out Alexei Popyrin (3-6, 6-2, 7-6(5)) and Brandon Nakashima (6-4, 5-7, 6-4) to book his place in the semifinals at the grass-court event.

Jiří Lehečka has won 23 out of 35 matches so far this season, winning the Brisbane International and reaching the semifinals of the Qatar Open. The Czech entered the grass-court swing following a crushing third-round defeat to World No. 1 Jannik Sinner.

Lehečka reached the quarterfinals of the Boss Open in Stuttgart before losing to Ben Shelton. He then competed at the Queen’s Club Championships and has had smooth sailing so far. The World No. 30 got off to a fine start by registering a 6-4, 6-2 win over fifth seed Alex de Minaur before beating Gabriel Diallo by the same margin to book his place in the quarterfinals.

Here, he faced Jacob Fearnley and found himself a break down in the opening set before taking it 7-5. Lehečka dominated the second set and won it to bag a 7-5, 6-2 win and reach his second ATP 500 semifinal of the 2025 season.

Jack Draper vs Jiří Lehečka Prediction

Draper will enter the match as the favorite to win given his better run of form, not to forget the fact that he will have home support. However, Jiří Lehečka on his day is a very formidable opponent, and gave the Brit a tough fight in Doha. So, there is a good chance of us witnessing an interesting encounter between the two.

Draper’s first-serve numbers at the Queen’s Club Championships have been impressive, having won 124 out of 151 points (82.1%) and amassing 36 aces. The 23-year-old also produced 92 winners while hitting 89 unforced errors. His serve and forehand will come in very handy on grass and he will look to finish points off as quickly as possible.

Lehečka has been twerrific on his first serve so far at the Queen’s Club Championships, winning 80 out of 93 points, amassing 22 aces. The Czech also hit 55 unforced errors compared to just 46 winners.

Like Draper, Lehečka also has an aggressive game and an effective serve. The Brit, however, has done considerably well at the net (26/30 points) compared to his Czech counterpart (16/23 points).

While Draper has not had as many comprehensive wins compared to Lehečka, he should be able to come out on top if he is at his best.

Prediction: Draper to win in three sets.
