Draper has enjoyed a solid season so far, highlighted by multiple deep runs and a maiden Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells. The Brit was also runner-up at the Madrid Open and the Qatar Open.
After a fourth-round exit at the French Open, Draper started his grass-court season at the Queen’s Club Championships as the second seed, opening with a commanding 6-3, 6-1 win over Jenson Brooksby. Nakashima, the other hand, has struggled with his form so far in 2025, suffering first-round exits at numerous tournaments. His best results were semifinal runs at the Mexican Open and the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships.
Nakashima had a few promising performances on clay, reaching the semifinals of the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships and the fourth round of the Madrid Open. After an opening-round exit at the French Open, the 23-year-old had a decent start to his grass swing, reaching the quarterfinals of the Boss Open.
Nakashima entered the Queen’s Club Championships and started his campaign with a gripping three-set win against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Nakashima then got past Dan Evans to reach the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 event.
