Świątek has entered the Caja Mágica, also known as the Manzanares Park Tennis Center, after competing at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, where she defeated Laura Siegemund in the round of 16 in straight sets and then lost the quarterfinal to Mirra Andreeva in a three-set battle, with a final scoreline of 6-3, 4-6, 3-6.
Before that, the Warsaw native was seen in action at the Miami Open, where she lost in the round of 64 to fellow Polish talent Magda Linette. This heavy loss also concluded her notable 73-match opening-round win streak. Following this, she parted ways with her coach, Wim Fissette, whom she had hired in October 2024.
Under Fissette’s guidance, the Polish star won the Wimbledon Championship and titles in Seoul and Cincinnati. However, due to her recent form changes, Świątek decided to hire Roig, the former alternate coach of Spanish legend Rafael Nadal from 2005 to 2022. Previously, Roig had worked with Matteo Berrettini, Emma Raducanu, and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
In her recent Instagram post, Świątek shared glimpses of her outing with friends in Madrid while donning a red top and white trousers and completing her casual look with white shoes. While visiting an art museum, the six-time Grand Slam champion shared pictures revealing her cultural engagement and moments of fun with her friends.
In the post, she wrote, “Exploring Madrid and obviously pretending like we know art 🎨🤌🏻🥸 #dosbocadillos #churroslovers.”
