Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, Alexandra Eala, and other WTA stars recently shared heartfelt messages in celebration of International Women’s Day. Observed on March 8, the day honors the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while also commemorating their fight for equality and advocating for women’s rights.
In addition to Gauff, Eala, and Osaka, players such as Amanda Anisimova, Elena Rybakina, and Morgan Riddle (girlfriend of Taylor Fritz) and Eiza González (girlfriend of Grigor Dimitrov) also shared their wishes for International Women’s Day.

Gauff took to social media to post a collage featuring pictures of herself with several influential women in her life, including her mother, Candi; Serena and Venus Williams; her grandmother, Yvonne Lee Odom; and Michelle Obama. She expressed her gratitude for the positive “impact” these women have had on her.
“just a *few* of the women who inspire me. Thank you for your impact 🫶🏾 #HappyInternationalWomensDay,” Gauff captioned her Instagram story.
Eala also conveyed her International Women’s Day message, mentioning that women should be “celebrated every day” and encouraging all women to continue “advocating” for themselves.
“Happy Women’s Day to all the amazing women around the world. You are celebrated every day ❤️ 💐. Never stop advocating for yourselves,” Eala wrote.
Fritz’s girlfriend, social media influencer Riddle, and Dimitrov’s girlfriend, Mexican actress and singer González, also extended their wishes for International Women’s Day.
“HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️,” González captioned her Instagram story.

In a heartfelt video, Rybakina recognized ladies everywhere on International Women’s Day.
“Hello! Happy International Women’s Day to all the ladies around the world,” Rybakina said.
Meanwhile, Anisimova received a loving video message from her mother, Olga, and sister Maria Egee. She expressed her surprise at the message and shared her love for them, calling them the two “strongest women” in her life who have helped make her into a “resilient” woman and continue to inspire her every single day.
“Aww, that’s so sweet. I honestly wasn’t expecting that. That’s so cute. Love you guys. Happy International Women’s Day to the two strongest women I know in my life, who made me into this resilient woman, as well. You guys inspire me every single day, and I miss you guys. Love you,” Anisimova said.
Osaka thanked all the “amazing” women doing extraordinary things around the world.
“Happy International Women’s Day. I just want to say thank you to all the amazing women out there, and just keep doing you,” Osaka said.
On the tennis side of things, Eala, Rybakina, Anisimova, and Osaka are currently competing in the 2026 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. All of these players are seeded and began their campaigns in the second round after receiving first-round byes.
Eala, the 31st seed, defeated Dayana Yastremska in her opening match and advanced to the fourth round after Gauff withdrew from their third-round match in the second set due to a persistent pain in her arm. Eala will face the 14th seed, Linda Nosková, in the fourth round.
Rybakina, seeded third, triumphed over Hailey Baptiste in the second round. She will next compete against the 28th seed, Marta Kostyuk, in the third round, with the winner advancing to face either the 15th seed, Madison Keys, or Sonay Kartal in the fourth round.
Anisimova, the sixth seed, started her campaign by defeating Anna Blinkova in her opening match and then eliminated the 25th seed, Emma Raducanu, in the third round. She will next go up against the 10th seed, Victoria Mboko, in the fourth round.
Osaka, the 16th seed, has defeated qualifier Victoria Jiménez Kasintseva and Camila Osorio in the second and third rounds, respectively. She will go up against the top seed, Aryna Sabalenka, in the fourth round.
