Felix Auger-Aliassime Sports Team USA Shirt at Indian Wells

On Tuesday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Auger-Aliassime was seen wearing a shirt with the Team USA hockey logo. The photo was later shared on social media by sports personality Blair Henley.

“Felix lost a bet to Sebi,” she captioned her post.

Auger-Aliassime, who hails from Montreal, is a big ice hockey fan and follows the Montreal Canadiens. He has also been spotted at many of their NHL matches in recent years and shared his support for the Canadian ice hockey team during the Winter Olympics.

The tennis star spoke about his love for the Canadiens in an interview with “Offside” in July 2025.

“My home team of Montreal. Montreal Canadiens, one of the most decorated teams in Canada, historic team in Canada, and especially in hockey. And they’re doing better and better… I follow their run every year. Big fan of the team,” he said.

Korda, who comes from a sporting family, is also a big ice hockey fan. The American tennis star played the sport growing up.

The bet seemingly came from the two nations’ meeting in the men’s and women’s finals at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Team USA came out on top on both occasions, while Canada settled for silver.

Auger-Aliassime and Korda Set To Begin Indian Wells Journey

Away from the bet and onto the tennis court, Auger-Aliassime and Korda will both hope for deep runs at the first ATP 1000 event of the 2026 season. Both players are gearing up for the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Korda will begin his campaign in the first round against Francisco Comesana. The 25-year-old will be full of confidence following his triumph at the Delray Beach Open. If he wins his opener, he could face Alex de Minaur of Australia in the second round.

Auger-Aliassime began his Indian Wells campaign on Tuesday by competing in the Eisenhower Cup Tie Break Tens event. He teamed up with compatriot Leylah Fernandez, but they were eliminated in the first round by Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek and Casper Ruud.
