Ethan Quin Shares Brief Reaction, As Girlfriend, Sidney Fitzgerald Shares Moments From Her Time in Melbourne During the Australian Open
Quinn, the former Georgia men’s NCAA singles champion, is making waves on tennis’ biggest stages, delivering two of the most commanding Grand Slam performances of his career. The 21-year-old not only shocked the 23rd seed, Tallon Griekspoor, in the first round but also dominated the match from the outset, eventually securing a 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 win.
Quinn then faced former World No. 6 Hubert Hurkacz, and yet again, stayed firmly in control. The American claimed the first set 6-4, edged through a tense second set in a tiebreak, and completely overpowered Hurkacz in the third to win 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-1 and advance to the next round of the Melbourne Major.
This marked another straight-set win for the 21-year-old, who now awaits his third-round clash against fellow youngster and 16th seed Jakub Menšík.
The tournament promises tougher battles ahead as the level of competition intensifies. While Quinn keeps his focus on the upcoming matches, his girlfriend is enjoying her time at Melbourne Park.
Fitzgerald recently shared a series of photos from the venue, radiating style in a sleeveless white dress adorned with bold black and light blue stripes, perfectly complemented by gold-framed sunglasses and a sleek black shoulder bag.

Among those who noticed was her boyfriend Quinn, who left a brief comment in the comments. “Winner walk,” he wrote.

Fitzgerald has been sharing glimpses of her life on Instagram, letting fans in on her adventures. A few days ago, she posted a short clip capturing moments with her boyfriend in Melbourne: a cozy breakfast date, returning to the hotel to get ready for Quinn’s practice, his interactions with fans at the courts, and the couple ending the day with dinner.
Quinn’s first two-round triumphs stand as the most notable major results of his career. Combined with previous main draw wins at the French Open and Wimbledon, he has now recorded triumphs at three different Grand Slams in under a year.
He is one of only two unseeded Americans and one of seven American men reaching the third round in Melbourne.
