Emma Raducanu Reportedly Attends Jannik Sinner’s Warm-Up Before Facing Aryna Sabalenka at Wimbledon

Emma Raducanu was reportedly spotted attending Jannik Sinner’s warm-up match at Wimbledon, just ahead of her clash against Aryna Sabalenka.

Emma Raducanu was reportedly spotted attending World No. 1 Jannik Sinner’s warm-up match at Wimbledon, just ahead of her third-round clash against Aryna Sabalenka at the London Major.

Last year, Raducanu received a wildcard entry into the main draw at Wimbledon. She defeated Renata Zarazúa, Elise Mertens, and Maria Sakkari before Lulu Sun eliminated her in the fourth round. Meanwhile, Sabalenka could not compete last year due to a shoulder injury.

Emma Raducanu Attends Jannik Sinner’s Warm-Up Before Her Third Round Match at Wimbledon

At the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, Raducanu began her run by defeating compatriot Mimi Xu, winning in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. In the second round, she overcame former Wimbledon champion Markéta Vondroušová with another straight-sets victory, 6-3, 6-3, securing her place in the third round.

On the other hand, Sabalenka is the top seed at this year’s tournament, and she began her campaign with a 6-1, 7-5 win over qualifier Carson Branstine in the first round. She followed this up with a victory against Marie Bouzkova, winning with a scoreline of 7-6(4), 6-4, advancing to the third round where she will take on Raducanu.

Recently, The Independent reported that Raducanu and her coach, Mark Petchey, observed Sinner’s warm-up session at Aorangi Park ahead of her third-round match against Sabalenka at Wimbledon.

“I’m trying to learn by osmosis. He is so effortless when he hits the ball,” she reportedly said about her courtside appearance.

Before the tournament started, Sabalenka and Sinner had a practice session together, which included a fun challenge. Each player had a tennis ball tube placed in front of them, and their opponent had to hit the ball toward the tube to knock it over. Sabalenka emerged victorious in this challenge, and as a playful consequence, Sinner’s team had to do several push-ups.

After the practice session, Sabalenka referred to Sinner as the “best” player, explaining that she practices with top athletes and then stops training.

“I hit with the best and then I am done,” Sabalenka said.

The women’s World No. 1 also trained with Novak Djokovic and participated in a similar challenge to the one she did with Sinner.

Who Will Jannik Sinner Face at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships 3R?

Sinner is the top seed at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, and he is set to face Pedro Martínez in the third round of the tournament.

Sinner began his campaign with a commanding victory over fellow Italian Luca Nardi in the first round, winning in straight sets with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-3, 6-0. In the second round, he triumphed over Aleksandar Vukic in straight sets with a scoreline of 6-1, 6-1, 6-3, securing his place in the third round, where he will meet Martínez.

Meanwhile, Martínez secured his spot in the third round after overcoming wild card George Loffhagen with a score of 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2. He followed it with a win against Mariano Navone, finishing 7-5, 7-5, 7-6(6) in the first and second rounds, respectively.

Sinner and Martínez have faced each other only once on the ATP Tour: in the first round of the 2022 Italian Open, where the World No. 1 emerged victorious with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

The winner of the third round match between Sinner and Martínez will advance to the fourth round of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, where they will face either 19th seed Grigor Dimitrov or Sebastian Ofner.
