As Super Bowl LX edges closer, even the tennis world has joined the conversation. During a lighthearted moment off the court, Emma Navarro, Leylah Fernandez, Paula Badosa, and several of their WTA peers shared their playful take on who might lift the Lombardi Trophy.
The result leaned heavily in one direction, sparking laughs and chatter as the players jokingly “predicted” a Seattle Seahawks win over the New England Patriots.
Super Bowl 60 Sets the Stage for a Renewed New England Patriots-Seattle Seahawks Showdown
Super Bowl LX is set for Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., and it brings a compelling storyline with it. The matchup revisits the Patriots-Seahawks rivalry first etched into NFL lore in 2015, though this edition features entirely new rosters and coaching staffs. Neither team entered the season as favourites, but stunned the league by finishing the regular season with identical 14-3 records.
While football fans debated matchups and betting lines, the WTA players put their own spin on the prediction process.
In a short clip shared by the official Women’s Tennis Association account, the players were filmed during their Abu Dhabi Open campaign, taking turns spinning a football balanced on a line. The rules were simple. If the ball settled to the left, the Patriots earned a point. If it tipped to the right, the Seahawks got one.
Navarro, Fernandez, and Badosa were joined by Alexandra Eala, Beatriz Haddad Maia, Belinda Bencic, Janice Tjen, and others, each adding their own reactions as the ball spun. By the end, the football landed on the Seahawks’ side eight times out of 11, prompting laughter and a tongue-in-cheek conclusion that Seattle would be the winner.

New England, guided by head coach Mike Vrabel, is led by rookie quarterback Drake Maye, who is chasing history as one of the youngest quarterbacks to win a Super Bowl.
Seattle, coached by Mike Macdonald, arrives as a favorite behind veteran quarterback Sam Darnold and a defense that ranked among the NFL’s best this season (No. 3 on PFSN’s NFL Defensive Impact metric).
Where Did Navarro, Fernandez, and Badosa’s Abu Dhabi Runs End?
Navarro, Fernandez, and Badosa have all wrapped up their runs in Abu Dhabi. As the fourth seed, Navarro earned an automatic spot in the second round but was edged out in a tight three-set battle, falling 7-6(6), 0-6, 6-3 to wildcard and compatriot Hailey Baptiste.

She also competed in the doubles draw alongside Kristina Mladenovic, though the pair exited in the opening round after a 7-5, 3-6, 10-6 defeat to the team of Tjen and Eala.
Badosa, the eighth seed, saw her singles campaign end in the first round, where she was beaten 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 by Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
