Several fans have been left infuriated once again by the lack of promotions for the upcoming WTA Finals, with the event being just around the corner.
Similar to last year, supporters have raised concerns over minimal marketing efforts, including the absence of a live photoshoot, streaming of the draw, and the gala, all considered essential traditions of the elite tournament that will showcase top stars such as Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Iga Świątek, and Amanda Anisimova this year.
Fans Livid As Promotional Issues Flare Up Again Ahead of the WTA Finals Featuring Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Iga Świątek and Others
The WTA Finals will return to Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, for a second consecutive year, as part of the nation’s three-year hosting contract, with Gauff entering as the defending champion. However, promotional concerns continue to linger. Last season, fans were left disappointed by the abrupt release of the draw, a delayed unveiling of the official photoshoot, and the complete absence of the traditional gala.
The action gets underway just two days from now, on November 1, and fans remain frustrated by the continued lack of promotional activities. One fan voiced their concerns on X, stressing that the event still lacks the essential marketing elements expected from a season-ending showcase.
We cant say once more that the finals is really promoted.
Except searching image gallery and IG stories.
There is so nothing about finals….
No live stream, no photoshoot live, no draw streamed, etc…

Responding to the above post, one fan noted that it was heartbreaking to compare with the ATP Finals’ grand staging in Turin, calling the poor promotion a major missed opportunity for women’s tennis
“Utterly heartbreaking when you compare with ATP and how big of an event it is in Turin each year….truly a missed opportunity,” they wrote.
Another fan argued these top women work all season but aren’t given a Finals celebration matching the ATP’s scale.
“I agree, these women play great all year long and don’t get to celebrate at a big event as good as ATP finals. Shame!”
“I said this earlier this year the WTA’s marketing is AWFUL. Like they put so much effort into revamping the website, but not the tournaments and WTA women,” one chimed in.
Another fan questioned the silence from WTA, writing:
“sooo WTA didn’t post anything…..? we are actually losing the plot”

This year’s WTA Finals will follow the round-robin format, featuring two star-studded groups named in honor of tennis icons Stefanie Graf and Serena Williams. The Graf Group includes World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, defending champion Coco Gauff, Pegula, and Italian standout Jasmine Paolini. In the Serena Williams Group, World No. 2 Świątek is joined by Anisimova, Elena Rybakina, and Madison Keys.
