Apart from his dominance and stature on the ATP Tour, Jannik Sinner is also widely recognized for his luxury car collection. Recently, American WTA star Coco Gauff named the world No. 1 among her ideal Formula 1 pit crew picks, citing his affinity for luxury cars like Porsche and Ferrari as the reason behind her choice.

Sinner’s passion for cars is well known across the tennis world, with the Italian boasting an enviable collection of high-performance European machines. His garage features standout models, including a matte-black Ferrari 812 Superfast, a Porsche 911 Carrera, a Ferrari Purosangue, and an Audi RS6 Avant ABT C8 Legacy Edition, among others. He was also spotted driving his Porsche 911 Carrera after wrapping up his Monte-Carlo Masters celebrations at Cipriani S.A.
Such an impressive fleet of luxury machines recently earned Sinner the top spot in Gauff’s hypothetical Formula 1 pit crew. The American, currently competing at the WTA 500 event in Stuttgart, was asked to name her ideal crew for an F1 race, and she didn’t hesitate in picking the world No. 1, followed by her father Corey Gauff.
She replied, “Let’s say four people. I am gonna go with someone who is pretty. I think Jannik (Sinner), because I saw he has a lot of cars, so he might know about them. And then I’ll go with my dad, just because he’s always helping me with my car,” she said.

Gauff picked WTA world No. 78 Eva Lys for her pit crew out of friendship, joking she may lack technical expertise. She also chose renowned Hollywood star Tom Holland, linking his Spider-Man role to the quick reflexes needed in racing.
“The third person I would say, let’s get a woman in there. I’ll go with Eva Lys, just because she is my friend. So I feel like, I don’t think she knows. She is probably not good at anything with cars, but I am gonna put her on there. And then the fourth person, I would choose. Let me choose somebody famous, who I don’t know, Tom Holland, just because he plays spiderman, so he got to have some reflexes or something,” she added.
However, Coco Gauff wasn’t alone in recognizing Jannik Sinner’s affinity for cars. Fellow player and world No. 2 Elena Rybakina also named Sinner and Hubert Hurkacz for her F1 pit crew.
“Well, someone who knows the cars well, so probably Jannik or Hubi!” She said.
As per the latest update, Gauff and Rybakina have advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Gauff is set to face KarolÃna Muchová, while Rybakina will take on Leylah Fernandez.
Meanwhile, Sinner is in dominant form, with three consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles at the Indian Wells Open, Miami Open, and Monte-Carlo Masters lifting him to the No. 1 ranking. He will aim to carry that momentum through the rest of the clay-court swing.
