Codey Gauff was born on September 21, 2007, turning 18 years old this year. He is the middle child in the Gauff family, and like his sister, Codey loves sports. However he chose baseball instead of tennis. He plays as a catcher and can hit from both sides of the plate, throwing with his right hand.
Codey went to Elite Squad Academy for high school, finishing his studies in spring 2024. He will now play college baseball at the University of Missouri, with his college career starts in 2026.

The young baseball player has already made a name for himself. He played in important games like the Minority Baseball Prospects Futures All-American game. He also took part in the Perfect Game National Showcase.
Codey has always supported his sister Coco. He goes to her tennis matches with their parents, with their youngest brother Cameron. The World No. 2 has said her brothers keep her humble, treating her the same whether she wins or loses.
Sports run in the Gauff family. Their dad Corey played basketball in college at Georgia State, whereas their mom Candi did track and field at Florida State.
On the tennis front, Gauff is set to compete at the China Open, which will be her first tournament since the US Open. The 21-year-old is the defending champion at the WTA 1000 event, beating KarolÃna Muchová in last year’s final.
